1. Try using the "toggle_fow" command and watch to see exactly when does the CTD occur. If you don`t know how to do it then: press "~" during the game, type "toggle_fow", hit "enter" and again "~" to make the panel disappear. You can now see all the map without the fog of war. Click "end turn" and watch where does the CTD apear.
2. Try runing the game with -show_err and -nm triggers enabled. This is how you do it:
Quote:
Find your Rome: Total War shortcut on your desktop. Right - click on it and select properties. In the "Target" box add -show_err and/or -nm to the end of it and click "apply" then "ok".
ex. C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe -show_err
ex. C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe -show_err -nm
ex. C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe -nm
Start the game as normally and when it crashes a error message should pop up. If you use the -nm trigger, you will find that the opening video will be skipped.[/b]
