I guess this place is as good as any.

I am working on a diorama, and I'll post about it here. If anyone else has made on or is making one, this could be a place to share it.

I've been working on a diorama of a hilltop bunker defense. Its not meant to be historical. Its actually based off of the bunker defense guarding The Harbour, from a scene in my story.

The terrain is quite flat near the cost, except for a rocky slope leading down to the beach. The first line defenses are made of "hedgehogs", barbed wire, and small machine gun bunkers, plus a trench behind the bunkers with sandbags and MG posts.

I just started, so its not much yet. Its undetailed and flat, because it lacks the rock, sand, plants, and the bunkers that are going to be added later.

Yes, its quite shiny still, because it was coated with glue. That will be fixed.

A view of the hill from the trench. Its a perfect spot to gun down any invaders with an MG.

The wire and hedgehogs aren't there permanently, that was just a test to make sure they are a good size, and that I have enough of them.
They are going to be there probably after I finish. Barbed wire backed by the hogs means that the only way for infantry or vehicles to pass through is a small opening, which of course would have MGs and artillery aimed at it.

I'm doing more work on it, hoping to be finished with the little bunkers tomorrow, and then adding the sandbags, colouring everything, texturizing it, and then finishing the terrain details.

This is my first real diorama, so don't expect expert talent at the end.
Its the fun that counts... except if you are making something historical, then accuracy matters too.
