I am making a 300 mod for R:TW 1.5 I want to know how I can make it so Spartan Hoplites have a very small chance of being hit by an arrow. I also would like to know how I can convert the Gates of Fire map to R:TW 1.5.

In export_descr_units.txt look up the units stat_pri_armour line eg:
the comments at the top of file explain what they mean, in order listed:stat_pri_armour 3, 4, 2, leather
To stop them being shot from any angle increase the armour factor, to stop them being shot from front/left only add to shield factor. In order not to change their overall defence against other units too much you might want to reduce the middle number - defensive skill factor - to compensate.; stat_pri_armour Details of the man's defences

I don't know what 'Gates of Fire' map is - if it isn't an RTW/BI/M2 mod then it would be issue of making new map using it as inspiration. You might not get answer to that in this thread as your title doesn't mention it. If you don't get reply, start a new thread on that, and give a bit more explanation of what it is.
