    Default Deus Lo Vult

Just wanted to quickly post this as a great big thank you to all those who were involved in the Deus Lo Vult mod.

I have never used a mod before being very wary of downloads and being a bit frightened of messing up my computer through my own lack of knowledge on my own part but this morning I decided what the heck and down loaded Deus Lo Vult. What a great decision!

I was getting a bit bored with the Vanilla game - diplomacy was, well ... not very diplomatic, I spent my entire game beset by attackers who went to war for no reason etc etc so I decided to look at Deus Lo Vult. Ho Ho! Am I one happy gamer that I made that choice.

I really like this game version. It is far better paced, far better diplomacy and far better rebels! Wow! I am playing as Byzantium and Constantinople was attacked by a very respectable rebel army. I am really, really enjoying the game play and have survived the early years to carve out a small but very profitable Empire for myself. I am allied with everyone and the alliances are holding. I am waiting for the Mongols to get going in a few years and to attack the Turks and then I am off after the Turkish Empire. Currently I am slowly building up my Cities and Castles and I am watching and waiting. Because this has so many more turns in the game and because the game has been modified to play well to the new game length you are not rushed, you are not attacked by all factions at once and you have to THINK more carefully about what you are doing.

To cut a long story short I am one huge fan of Deus Lo Vult. Thank you, thank you for bringing out this mod!!!

Can I ask are there other versions planned? When CA bring out their new patch will Deus Lo Vult bring out a new mod that will be compatible with the new patch? Will there be new factions at some stage. Does anyone know if this mod is planned to be expanded?

Frankly, I am going to wait before downloading the new patch when it comes out so that it does not interfere with my DLV down load. Thats how highly I rate this mod.

Welcome to the fold, my friend! Come, join the other Deus Lo Vultians!

    To answer your questions:

Yes, there are other versions planned, and I believe one is in the works right now.

Yes, there are plans to update Deus Lo Vult for CA's new patch, when/if it comes out.

I'm not sure whether new factions are going to be put in at any time, that's something that only Derdrakken/Repman can answer. I believe that there are, however, plans for texture reskins eventually, once all the planned additions are made.

    Hey Cardinal,

Great to hear you're enjoying the Deus lo Vult modulation of M2TW. 2.1 is bubbling away, with tweaks and new goodies being cooked up in the RepDrakTok kitchen. The second M2TW patch is out end of March so expect many new DlV features as well as it's new patch foundation.

Just want to add my voice to the threadstarter's praise of DLV.

The plethora of mods got me bewildered, and I was also a little apprehensive if installing different mods would affect the original game files, but yep, i went ahead with about 3 mods.

Every mod caters to a different kind of gamer, and really DLV is my kind of mod. Really awed by the new maps, the heraldic and title system.

Great job to the DLV mod team. Keep up the excellent work.

btw, I am playing DLV 2.0 without the add on. If i do add that, would that affect other mods?

I too will express my praise for this mod then. For me it's one of the greats at the moment.
