Wanna play ChivTW with new created battle-vanilla-banners

Well then you've come to the right thread..... not only will you be playing with the battle banners on but you will also see the glory of the new battle banners made by me.. flip2121 aka Count Flip at TWC... not only are these beautiful they give the mod a more medieval feel..

here are some factions with the new banners... the Kiev Rus and the English..

all factions are done these are just minor previews

to install:

1. first make a copy of the c:/local disk/program files/Activision/Rome - Total War/chivalry/data/models/textures/ folder

2. Download the new banners from here...

3. now extract this file over your chivalry data in the main folder.. i.e. c:/local disk/program files/Activision/Rome - Total War
(it should ask you to overwrite... select yes)

4. now go to the preferences file in the preferences folder and search for SHOW_BANNERS:FALSE and switch it to SHOW_BANNERS:TRUE

5. now enter the game and have fun..

post here if you have any problems installing.. but it is an easy 1-5 install.... have fun and enjoy!!

hey, I just switch from False ti TRUE, and it works fine, is nice btw

Oh, and I don't get that download file, when I download it, it just windows media player file, um wtf?

no they are a special type of image file, just that if you dont have a program to open it, it shows up as a media file

No, 0.90 hasn't these banners in it.

Also, the reason that it is an extra topic is, that these banners are disabled in the main releases, and just to get the attention of the people who like to play with these banners enabled.

It is also just a matter of taste, if one likes to play with these banners and plus the unit-banner-/flag-bearers, we are workin' on for the next release and for version 1.0, so especially in this regard, it will remain an extra topic.

So the real banner-freaks can have both, if they also install Count Flips banner mod.
