The detail on those shields is unbelievable and I do remember LT saying he wanted Praetorians to be black but he settled for purple. The only thing I will say is that from an historical view Praetorians were drawn up from Latin/Italian soldiers and they were always clean shaven, the Praetorians in your model all have beards.

didnt praetorians also have all white outfits - i remember reading where Emperor Claudius had them have a outfit all white

The hoplites would be very cool if they were implemented on an "are of recruitment" basis. For instance, Athenian hoplites are only recruitable in Athens, Corinthian hoplites in Corinth, etc.
