Switch the title to Jesus and nobody gets offended. Of course this archaological event has never happened. Could it? Would any historian, theologist, archeologist, palientologist, or politician ever dare to claim Islam is a fake. Because Christianity comes under attack at all times from all sides. Just within the last week a special came out denying Jesus Christ's Divinity.

Whether you are atheist, christian, buddhist, etc... you can still answer this question. Would anybody dare to deny Islam? What would happen? Would anybody be allowed to search for 'The Prophet's' body in the holy land?

You can discuss, however the pathos of misguided fanaticals sometimes takes them to extremes. Remember the killing of that Dutch man because he wrote on the subject of women in the islamic world or the burning of the flag of Denmark and all the waves that caused because of that cartoon publication.
So, even if the muslim faith is a faith of peace, some of it's believers try to enforce it like the worst kind of regime. And as long as the more reasonlable practitioners of said faith do nothing to calm down the fanaticals or teach them what that faith really is about, we will have occurences such as the two previously mentioned.

So, would anybody dare to doubt Muhammad as they would Jesus? Could you see the Producer of Titanic announcing the gravesite of Muhammad being found, and that disproves Islam.
I doubt anybody would do this. Many people would like to consider themselves brave for going against Christianity, most Christians understand their faith and it's basic teachings.
Most Muslims understand the Basic teachings of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad, these lead nobody in the world to speak out against them in fear.

Also, people aren't offended by the finding of, ofr example, Jesus' tomb. The finding of a body is problematic for many as he, according to tradition, ascended to heaven. Not sure what happened to Mohammed, though.

Supposedly Muhammad ascended to Heaven through a spot in Jerusalem where the Dome of the Rock is currently. That's why the Dome was built there. But the belief is that Muhammad also ascended. Finding his body hurts Islam just as much as finding Jesus hurts Christianity.

I think a more appropriate analogy of the claim to the discovery of Jesus'remains would be for someone to claim to have discovered Mohammed's remains aren't enshrined in his tomb in Medina. Even then....wasn't mohammed a prophet?

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever - and I'm being generous here. The idea of a grave and corpse for Jesus would of course debunk Christian theology, but in what way would finding Muhammad's tomb (which isn't an issue, since we know of it and it's quite popular) 'debunk' Islam?

No, because everyone knows where his remains are. His body was buried there, making up his tomb would be very hard. It's as if I build something in my backyard and claim it to be the tomb of the Ancient emperor of the Alienate Empire .

Would you believe me, ofcourse no, because the Ancient Emperor of The Alienate Empire is actually buried in the moon's ancient ruins.

By the way, if the corpses of Muhammad and Moses were to be found, it would not have any effect on Islam and Judaism because both religions admit that both men were probably dead like normal human being.

Visiting the Prophet's Tomb in Medina

Unfortunately, most of today's Muslims make it a custom to visit the Prophet Muhammad's tomb in the masjid that carries his name in Medina. By doing that they are committing the most flagrant acts of idolatry and thus nullify their Hajj.

Hajj is meant to be for GOD ALONE. Hajj is older than the prophet Muhammad himself. Abraham and his descendants performed Hajj, they did not have a prophet's tomb to visit. The prophet Muhammad himself did his Hajj the correct way without dedicating his Hajj to anyone else besides God.

The Quran consistently talks about "The Sacred Mosque," while today's Muslims talk about "The Two Sacred Mosques" ! In a glaring act of idolatry, these Muslims have set up Muhammad's tomb as another "Sacred Mosque" ! This is blasphemous violation of the Quran and ironically, even violates Hadith. It is interesting to know that traditional Muslims claim to believe in a sahih (confirmed) Hadith in which the prophet Muhammad declared that God cursed the Jews and the Christians because they built places of worship around their prophet's tombs.
