Good Strat for Taking out a Faction Quick

Ok so for all the new people out there I found this way to work extremely well. I played on France, and unfortunatly had 3 fronts (Spain, Italy, HRE). I needed to get rid of the HRE to get to my ally Poland. So there are 2 Cities near the border with Milan and HRE. I sent one giant army inbetween them, and left the cities with only like 1 unit. Then i sent an army with about 7 or os men. Wait for the AI to dump their city to attack your weak city, then move in your defensive army (hide them in the trees or like one turn away) then just send in your big army to take thier emptied settlement. Post other good strategies if you have any

Pillaging. Simply.

Take an entire stack and go from city to city, then sell the cities that you do not need and are too far away or utterly useless.

I've destroyed entire factions by just picking off all their settlements.

I'm playing as the Turks and I'm going after the Byzantines right now.
