Default Making Slaves A Real Faction

I have managed to make the Slave faction a real faction, by adding a real family tree to them, and as far as I can tell, it works OK. My question is, has anyone ever done this, and would there be any inherent problems I'm unaware of with this? If another faction's city rebels, would it still rebel to this slave faction? What if a Slave faction city rebels? Who do they rebel to?
Just wondering if this would cause the game to make impossible choices trying to rebel a region that's already slave to itself! Thus, CTD's, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Playing as slaves, you won't get rebellions, as they have no-one to re rebel to.

Sometimes regions rebel to normal factions, don't they? Doesn't happen very often though.

BI already has a bit of family structure for rebels:
relative Adalwolf, none, Brinno, Gunderic, Chnonodemar, end
I think Arthurian TW did a bit more with rebels, including having diplomats, but again that's under BI - but can't see any reason why it shouldn't work for RTW. (famous last words)
