If you don't have this game, go out and buy it. It's the most fun i've had in a long time and it has a great story! Action rpg with brilliant graphics set in a fictitious medieval china setting.
Dose it have blood and gore?
I might give this game a try; after all you only have to look at the Developers portfolio to see this game comes from a line of huge titles namely Knights of the Old Republic and Never Winter Knights.
I've played the Xbox version of this game before and its definatly a must-buy.I like to think of it as a sort of asian fable.
Like Neverwinter Nights? Wondering where to go now that the old NWN Vault is gone? Come visit the new one at http://neverwintervault.org/!
Played the Xbox version when it first came out, as I'm a huge fan of Bioware (Jade, NWN, and Kotor I play extensively.) I've been meaning to check out the Special Edition, but haven't gotten around to it...
"I am what the Gods have made me!"
It's real-time. When you approach an enemy it enters sort of a "battle" mode (No loading) and you're restricted to a certain area. You can leap about, change to different martial styles, and utilize combinations of those styles to achieve certain things, if you so desire. Such as: Use a stunning style, then switch when they're stunned to a more damaging weapon style.
There are also certain styles that allow you to take the form of a monster, though I've never used them much.

I might get it but I hope to find the xbox version of the game I had before I make up my mind to buy it. The game is really fun, and unlike most Bioware games most of the NPCs are unique. Don't buy it if you like having an inventory and putting on armour and stuff like that.
Cool, so you actully get to swing your weapon. As opposed to WoW or neverwinter nights where you just click a button and your unit swings the sword by himself?
That's not such a good thing, actually. You can tell that this game is a console-port, and there's a good reason why it began on the X-box and took so long to make it to the PC. It doesn't really belong as a PC game, in fact, and has little in the way of true RPG elements.
There is some very good blood and gore, though - you can smash people's heads open and gore gushes spectacularly and fills half the screen for a second.

I can't disagree more. It does not feel like a console port and certainly does not play like one. They have done a great job implementing the control scheme from the console-pad to the pc(mouse and keyboard). It is true that there are little of the traditional rpg elements(multi char party, inventory etc.) but the novel setting and story makes up more than enough for the lack of these elements thereof.![]()
It's very well ported and you can notice almost none of the console origins, the left/middle/right mousebutton system has actaully been praised by critics as better than the original xbox controls. The game is very good, first game that I was trulky excited and interested about while playing in about 6 months.
I have not finished it yet so i don't not know about the endings, but there is a distinct good-evil path choosing as per every bioware game so i am guessing that there are at least two endings at the end.
There are also a number of characters to choose from at the beginning of the game so i am sure i'll be keeping busy for a while.![]()
I bought the game a few weeks after it was released for xbox's and it is amazing - it is probably the best games console game I have ever played on.
I would be very surprised if the PC version wasn't that good.

I was wondering if any of you have played the console game and PC game, how does the fighting parts control on the PC? Are they better, worse, or unplayable without a gamepad?
