Spiderman 3: New Trailer and Pics

So, what do you guys think? I think the movie will be good like the others but I have no idea why they are having Venom plus other villains in it. I mean, Venom is Spiderman's ultimate villain! Why have two others with him?! I appreciate them having Sandman's original costume. That's cool, but I dislike what they're doing with Harry Osborn. He isn't the Green Goblin, but just a vengeful Harry. The graphics for Sandman and especially Venom look amazing! Any more thoughts?

The only thing I don't like so far is that, like you pointed out, they don't have Harry Osborne as the second Green Goblin. And that they have Eric from "That 70's Show" as Venom. He's good for that kind of stuff, but Venom? Guess I'll just have to wait and see...

I like Venom. Don't know much of it nor spider man, unfortunately. Simply, comics aren't of my time... I'm like really young for classic comics and I never apreciated much those things...
But it seems that'll be another great film. I think that the second one wasn't really good, prefered the first one, I even had to watch it like some 4 times on cinemas.
The special effects also impress me, specially those used on Venom, we can see that clearly on those photos you, Lord Rahl, posted.

Yeah, I'd never pick the 70's show kid for Venom. It seems like they are trying to do way too much in one movie. I've never really liked Kirsten Dunst or Toby Maguire as MJ and Spiderman either. Maguire is ok. I just don't like Dunst at all.

I think McGuire is actually the perfect Spider-Man/Peter Parker. I think he catches the comic book character (or at least the early version) very well. But I'm going to agree with you on Dunst as MJ. The comic books always depicted MJ as a voluptuous model type girl, which Dunst ain't (I used to be a huuuuge Spider-Man comic book fan when I was in 2nd/3rd grade.)

I see Spiderman 3 when it comes out in theatres. However I cannot find the trailer I saw during 300. The one where they actually show Venom. Venom is the reason I want to see this movie. I was always a mild Spiderman fan, but I did love Venom.

Was that harry and MJ at the end? 0_o. Another love twist? I hope this is going to be one of those hugely long movies like lotr, because between harry, sandman, venom, gwen, and mj it is going to be quite packed. makes one wonder what kind of nice stuff may be in directors cut edition.

They couldn't have made do with JUST Venom, because the whole point of Venom's back-story is that Spiderman refuses the power Venom offers by their fusion - and where would be the temptation to accept it in the first place if there wasn't some other terrible threat to menace him, like another super villain, i.e. The Hobgoblin & Sandman.

They had to use the Hobgoblin because that's what the whole story-arc of the relationship between Harry and Peter has been set up for in the previous two movies, and Spiderman 2 ended with Harry discovering his father's secret lair and his own inner madness emerging.

But they couldn't have just the Hobgoblin as the threat to be faced, either - because he's too much like the Green Goblin, which we've seen before in the first movie. So they need someone, hence the Sandman, who was always the coolest Spiderman villain so far as I'm concerned. He could turn bits of his body into hammers and stuff.

But much like the terrifying Wicked Witch of the West, his weakness is - if I remember rightly - WATER! Oh no! I am a terrible enemy, faced with my only hidden weakness - a substance covering 2/3 of the entire planet!

And I'm desperately in love with red-headed Dunst as MJ, because she looks EXACTLY like the first girl I ever loved, when I was 16 in Secondary School.
