Tha Captain dosen't like ta brag, but Oi be circumcised twice, wunce through tha Straight 'o Magellan, an' wunce wi' thar aid o' a secret map. I would like to say i agree with circumcision but the yes statement is only if my religion says yes. I say yes for reasons such as hygiene... culture norm(maybe)... Though I was circumcised in the name of religion, I do not think that is the only reason that it should be considered.

It is a barbaric act.
I got cut over a year ago for health reasons, so I had no option.
If a person's religion says he must be cut then so be it however the person in question should make that choice and not the parents.

Interestingly it has been suggested that circumsicion may decrease the chances of getting AIDS; so if its done medically soundly (sterilised instruments and so on), then it appears to be a medically beneficial procedure. Certainly there are no negative effects, really.

I've read that too. Very interesting. Also a bit of a downer for those of us who wish to keep our genitalia intact and unsliced.

Some people are so upset about the fact that they were circumcised without their consent that they take bizarre measures to try to repair their member. Seriously.

If I may loose my accent momentarily, I wish to object to the 'hygiene' reason. As a man possessing the same, unscathed equipment I was born with, I've never had an issue with rashes, odor, or uncleanliness in general.

But as tha Captain, 'owever!! Maybe that thar explains why moi babymaker be aw mottled wi' blue an' black spots! Oi wunders if Oi should gets thar ship's surgeon ta bleeds it wi' leeches??:hmmm:
