Are you on an admin account, sometime you can't edit file properties if you aren't the admin.

well im on windows 2000 which only has one account

firstly sorry about wrong forum im new to the site and dont know what im doing.

ive read that you need to open all the game files to get to the descr_strat file. I unchecked the read only box then i cut and paste the non playble into playable the clicked save and is said error processing request access denied

Try makeing a copy of it and see if the copy file will work.
