Making DVDs

Hey guys.

Can anyone recommend good video editing software? one that allows me to compile video and create a DVD with menus and chapters and all that.

I actually don't have nero and am not familiar with it's abilities. I'm looking for something capable of fancy stuff. So that the DVD menus can have audio and video in the backgrounds. It doesn't have to be cheap software.

well, I used pinnacle studio 8 to compile my dvd. I think I had video in the background, as well as sound, and alright looking menu buttons. But after I finished with that project, I never wanted to touch it again. The whole process was a hassle. Sometimes things work, sometimes not. I finally got it working about how I wanted, and then the writing process came. In the end it was just easier to ask it to make an image, and then burn the DVD with another software.

anyways, all that to say, DONT get pinnacle studio 8. I dont know about the newer versions, but I wouldn't trust it, lol.
