    Default Quick Question

I noticed this in the Install note:

    7. Open 'Preferrences.txt' in your RTW folder and set 'AUTO_SAVE:FALSE'. This will disable the buggy RTW Autosave feature, so be sure and save you campaign occasionally, especially before an important battle, or after playing for a long time.

I like the autosave, will my game get a CTD if I don't do this?

    Thanks,
    Tzif

The answer is yes. The autosave feature is very buggy and causes the mod to ctd alot.

Yes you will. Even without a mod installed over RTW some people have to turn off autosave otherwise they can get CTD. It has to do with the engine itself.

I like the Autosave feature too, but if you save every now and then by hitting cntrl+s (I think thats the quick save) then it's no big deal.

Oh, sorry for the double-post, but I have another question. Can someone walk me through the "If You're Playing on the Big Map (provincial campaign)..." thing. I found it kind of confusing to read. A simple what-goes-where answer would be appreciated.

Here is a link to the Big Map topic that I need help on:

Ok, you need to copy the descr_character.txt file from the Big_Map folder in Important_stuff (in the latest beta I'm playing it's got its own subfolder in the Important_stuff folder, called Strat_movement, but I don't think this is the case for you).

So basically just copy this file across into your /data folder. That'll increase the movement range, and allow the Ai to behave a bit more sensibly.

We're trying guys...there's only 2-4 of use really WORKING on this mod right now, and Angel just started helping with stat balancing and stuff. It's hard to find time to sit down and right detailed instructions for everything. So for now, people are just going to have to ask questions if they don't understand.

Accually its not luck. You have to have Imperial Palace in certain settlements in order to get reform. Itll be nice if DVK can provide a list of what settlements you need and thus people can do it much quicker. Although campaigns will be shorter, so the reason why DVk did this im sure.

You need to build an Imperial Palace in Croton or Tarentum or Mediolanium or Patavia to trigger the Marian Reforms. But sometimes, on occasion, they won't come immediately. The game will decide when after that.
