help installing please

ok well i think this mod looks amazing, but i tried installing it once and it didnt work, im pretty sure i followed the rules exactly except for when i went to run the batch file for the new ui cards, it says this is in use in another program, whats the problem? and also

9. you can also add -nm -show_err to the end of 'RomeTW.exe' in your shortcut target. It should look like this:

(RTW)\RomeTW.exe -nm -show_err

does that have to be done to play this mod? if so could someone show me exactly what it should look like. thanks for your help i really wanna play this mod. just to make sure i have the installation down right im gonna list in.

1.) install vanilla rtw
2.)patch to 1.3
3.)patch to 1.5
4.)install RS Version 1 into RTW folder
5.)install patch8 into RTW folder
6.) go into RTW folder and run new_ui batch file
7.)go to preferences change autosave to false

am I missing anything or is this it? thanks for all your help

I think you need to run New_UI.bat

If you get ANY errors installing this mod it will involve three possible things:

a) You did not follow directions
b) There is something wrong with your installation of Rome Total War.
c) You are running Windows98 or Windows2000.

The directions are very clear...you run 'new_UI.bat' after installing everything. If you get any errors when you run it, it is likely you installed the mod in the wrong directory.

Well also, I know what happened to me the first time was that my 1.3 patch was corrupted, so it could be either the 1.3 or 1.5 patch that is causing your problem as well.
