    Default little glitch

I was playing as carthage. And I've been successfully been activiating the 4 turn a year and all everytime I load it up. But one time I loaded it it jumped me to 240 A.D. I was in 236 B.C. I loaded it up again I went back to normal. Could that little glitch affect my save file or anything like that?

    Thanks

if u didn't save it just after the year jumped to 240AD then it should be alright Anyway u should keep several saved game files just in case the latest one gets corrupted

Yea it just happened to me again. Why does this happen?

I didn't even notice it was 240 AD and I saved it and now my carthage files are ruined. I have to start again. I just got control of Spain. AHHHHHHhh

You have to make sure you always activate your script and Never forget. Those errors are causesd by forgetting when you think you didnt. lol

I always play with the script so its second hand to me.

Well i'm trying to get in the groove of remembering it constantly. But like Isn't there a way for like the game reminds u to activate it every time u load of a game. Then there will be no problems. But if there isn't a way I guess I'll write a post it and put it on the side of my computer monitor

is there a way Lt could release a script-only version of SPQR, so that its always activated? that way there wouldn't be these kind of problems.

i know its probably easier said than done, so if it cant be done, it doesn't matter.

Ok guys... there is a thread where u can download a semi-automatic activation script for SPQR. u'll always be reminded by the advisor to activate the script everytime u start or load a campaign... try it on ;-)

Yah I advise the semi-script activation it really helps because you don't need to remember just click on any of your citis and it pops up and all you have to do is click. I used to be adament to using the script because I would tend to forget and never know if I turned it on correctly but now I never miss a turn with it.

yes it does work with 6.2

Even this way I forgot to activate the script a couple of times when i loaded a game and immediately pressed End Turn

Yup, it pops up all the time if you didn't activate it. So this might be a little annoying for those who like playing without the script.

i'LL SEE ABOUT ADDING something to the next Patch for SPQR. I first need to check it out. BTW I wouldnt use this auto script patch with the new version as it would overwrite some changes. But that shouldnt matter anyway as I will see if I can add one.

Well personally I didnt like the feature, after checking it out it doesnt work ALL the time and the text isnt there ALL the time. Plus it pops up ALL the time when you click a City. I think I will make it a seperate Download for those that need such a program, but I doubt I will add to the main patch.

Good news is I know added text so you can see Which province recruits which legion on the campaign map.

I'll just add my 2cents.....LT, thanks for not including this in the next update. There is nothing more annoying than a stupid advisor popping up all the time. That alone has turned me off from quite a few mods.

Sorry about reviving a pretty long dead thread I just thought it better than starting a new one.

Lt, I would like to know whether or not the semi-self activation script works with version 6.3. I fell the need to have it as i tend to forget to activate the script manually. In 6.2 the semi-self activation script seemed to work without incident. When I ported my save game across from 6.2 with the semi-self activation script to 6.3 I have noticed that it is no longer functioning. Should I reinstall it or would that cause issues. Will the semi-self activation script work with 6.3 and if not is it possible to make it work?
