1950 xtx vs 7950gt

Im an ATI fanboy, so ill go with ATI of course, but as in for reality, i thought the 7950's were better. Not 100% sure. -Leon

x1950xt will beat a 7900GT/7950GT if the 7950 is made into a faster running 7950GTX then im not sure, the X1950xt is a good card for the price right now

the ati x1959 xtx is better than the 7950 GT but not the GTX, at least according to this:

but you can also directly compare the cards here:

and it seems that the ati is the next best thing after the 8800

EDIT- huh, at tigerdirect.ca, I found models of the x1950xtx which cost almost 100 CAD more than the lower end 320mb 8800 cards

The x1950xtx is faster to some extent than the 8800gts except it dosen't support dx10.

Well, in the title it says the XTX, so obviously the XTX is better than just the GT. I would also say the X1950XT is better than the 7950GT.

i saw that but assumed is was a typo as the XTX is similarly priced to a 640mb gts so why buy the XTX/...

It's a waste of money but it costs more because in dx9 it's almost as fast as the 8800gtx

No, the GTS SLI beat XTX. So two GTS' are better than an XTX I think.

not always though, it depends on the application, and as I hear, SLI cannot always be relied on to work with everything.

If you play Oblivion the x19050xt or xtx is the best card to do it
In all other cases all of the 8800 models beat it hands down:
