There are many ways of living and many philosophies about it... so, what do you that's the most ideal one? Should it be one with monotony predominant on its routine? An healthy one? Working a lot? Spending your time on front of the computer? This may be associated to the Happiness thread that Lord Sigilus started, but it's different, if you think of this properly though.

So, what's the ideal life for you?...You may also give opinions or comment the function of the thread! :hmmm: Just kidding.

Ideal life depends on us all. My ideal life would be with the girl I love in my own Lusitano horse breeding centre, riding them and teaching them, strenghtning the connection between Man and Nature.

Back to the old days. No TV or radio. Horse and carts. Grow your own vegies/livestock. Optimism in the world. Vast open spaces. Relaxation, books, philosophy, manual labour and the subsequent rewards.

I'd love it from my 21st century perspective. Problem is those with the 19th century (or earlier) perspective would want "advancement".

No sanitation, high infant mortality rates, poor healthcare, political repression of women and minorities. The good old days sucked.

My ideal life would be to dwell in the green fields of Latium with my gorgeous love and to relish life in the best conceivable manner.I would also love to have ponies around me.In my nuptial era,I would love to see my children riding the marvelous creatures...just an astounding imagination for me..

It'll be a live were I would work as an artist, like photographer, poet, painter, street artist and skateboarder (has a hobbie). I wished money and all these material values wouldn't exist...

    I would be happy.

    Life is made for living:
*Have as much fun as you can dont overwork yourself. Dont seek after fun-it will find you.
*Get many real friends, be loyal to them and they will be loyal to you.
*Be a defender to all personal costs.
You have a certain mentality, a "you vs them" and i know it is hard to see, but it is only your imagination which makes up enemies everywhere. I haven't professed anything but being neutral so why Do you feel the need to defend yourself from me?. Truly What are you defending? when there is nobody attacking?

This is my ideal life. Well, close to it. I'd like a cure for all diseases, though, please.... but yeah, books, interesting discussion, good friends and strong friendships (mainly with people I've never met...). What more does one need?

All what you mentioned + a girl I would really love and that she'd love me back.

My ideal life would also be an eternal one... I hate thinking that I'll die and everything that surrounds me isn't eternal. It just ins't explicable using words like mine.

Nowadays, almost every teen doesn't see a purpose on life, they're like iluded of material values. It's kinda decaying...

I would like a world where as Alexander might have envisioned, a world where there is one race, one culture, one family.

Well, I think many of us think that an ideal life would be one that surely included happiness, lol, if not then a person must be stupid to say such thing.

Happiness is a synonym of a good state of life in my perspective.

Happiness is very hard to achieve. Once we have what we want, we want more. Rare are the times when we don't want anything at all. Such happens when I am riding or with thegirl I love.

BTW, she rejected me today I'll be talking about it here. Help is very welcome.

    Virtue is its own punishment.

A life of dissapation and indulgence would suit me best. I enjoy, procreate and debauch as i see fit.
Unfortunately, this requires capital, so its onto rich women i suppose.

This may be light hearted, but i am deadly serious.

Is this the ideal way to live if you have infinite resources or in your current situation. In my current situation I strive for knowlege, then experience at my job, to become successful.

But if I did not need to work to sustain my lifestyle, its a no brainer for me. It would involve the music of Pink Floyd and a bottomless baggy.
