the Black Prince for Divus Proposal

Proposer: The Consilium de Civitate membership acting via a members initiative

Following a nomination, acceptance, discussion and subsequent vote within the Consilium de Civitate forum, the Black Prince has achieved a 3/4 majority of CdeC members support which allows this proposal to face a full Curia vote in three days time.

(At least, that's how I interpret the current Divus section, though it is somewhat self conflicting)

Member Ranks and Rights...

Divus
To achieve apotheosis and Curial vote, the nominee must be supported by 3/4 members of the Consilium de Civitates and meet the following criteria:
- The candidate must have served as a site admin, has to have made a clear and distinguished contribution to the community and cannot be proposed within 3 months of their resignation from Staff.
- Provided exceptional service to TWC in their capacity as administrator.
The CdeC will contact the nominee and ask if he or she will accept the nomination. If the nominee should reject their nomination, for whatever reason, no further action will be taken and the nomination will be declared null and void.

If the nominee should accept, the CdeC will create a thread within the CdeC forum to further investigate the legitimacy of the nominee’s accolades. The CdeC has the right to request any and all relevant material from staff to ascertain this with the approval of the Hex. The CdeC will discuss the nominee and his qualifications for at least a week before the vote is held inside the CdeC.

After at least three days of discussion inside the Curia, qualifying nominees shall be voted upon in the Curia for a period of one week, and a two-third majority is sufficient to become 'Divus'. A nominee who fails is eligible to be nominated again after a six month period.

lol, thanks Ian (i think). i trust my annoyance serves only to drive you to greater glory...

comments aside, i'd agree with Spiff's interpretation of the Syntagma. the CdeC upon vote has accepted and agreed that i meet all the criteria for Divus by at least a 3/4 majority so its now a case of applying just the last paragraph

Hm...seems like I support this too..

I wonder why it isn't so already. Anyway, tBP truly deserves a divus rank for his never ending, often critical but ever constructive support of the community here in TWC. Without him, many threads would never have gained the substance they had. The Black Prince for divus!

It will open the Divine floodgates as far as the point "If Aden deserves it so do - WBK and Wilpuri and probably even Morble (Strategy guides and articles).

I want to know what puts Aden above all the other administrations like Soren and Sel who are not Divii and the above WBK and Wilp etc.

Bottom line is Divus should be reformed... or as I orginally proposed when proposing Divus, introduce a hero category as well..... and make the voting for one or the other or nae

Anyways I agree most of the names desreve it... but the way the site is going administrator is no longer where the respect is concentrated at......

We could discuss Wilpuri and WBK for divus. And do you think that would mean the inflationary use of the title? As far as I can see, the circle of people deserving divus is fairly limited. But there is a point to the argument that sometime the borderline between divus and regular member will be hard to establish.

In the case of tBP though I don't think that is the case. He has been a controversial figure in the past, but his continued service for TWC is beyond doubt.
