A Call to Arms

In the fragile quiet of a not so distant future, the rumblings of a new World War can be heard. With the aftermath of the Iraq War long in the past the US threatens to begin a new war in the Middle East if oil export restrictions there are not lifted. Meanwhile, a resource hungry China flexes its war machine muscles and readies itself for long planned global expansion. A necessity if it is to remain competitive with the rest of the planet's industrialized countries and feed it's billions of hungry citizens.

The World once again finds itself facing the real possibility of a full-scale conflict that could engulf more than just these embittered and long time rivals.

At Global Conflict we stand ever vigilant and prepare for the worst, knowing that in this conflict as in all the others we have fought, we must choose sides and fight brother against brother one more time. The US Forces and the Eastern Forces (China and Middle East Coalition) have moved their well equiped and finely tuned armies past the point of strategic recall.

The world holds its breath as all but a few nations take sides and invest their very future in a no holds, all out brawl for control of the very planet itself.

Global Conflict is a large scale online tournament, utilizing EA Games Battlefield 2 and its uniquely new squad based organizational tools.

Global Conflict's two Commanding Generals and their respective High Commands will make strategic decisions on a "real world" campaign map. Land, Air and Naval forces on both sides, led by experienced and motivated officers and manned by the finest and most determined warriors in history will clash time and time again.

Battlefield by battlefield, taking no prisoners, giving no ground, each will give it their all and in the end only one Army can go home victorious.

Each week battles will rage, divisions will triumph and armies will be destroyed. Countries will fall and victors will be crowned and you'll be there to share in the outcome, glorious victory or painful and utter defeat.

You won't be alone, and you won't go into battle unprepared, as there is no such thing as an Army of One. If you enlist with GC, know this, you will be instrumental in your squad's victories and they will depend on you for their very survival. The job is intense but the rewards—promotions, decorations, brotherhood—are there for the taking.

Looks very interesting. I like the idea that not anybody can just take any vehicle they desire, but they have to earn that rank first. I would love to try out for becoming an helicopter pilot because that is what I certainly is the most professional at. I have a problem though, every once in a while (approximately each 30 seconds) I recieve a connection problem which lasts for around 2 seconds and is lethal if I am piloting or driving anything while that is happening. This connection problem began when I moved to the U.S.A and got another internet provider, it ruined my entire Battlefield experience and now I rarely see the game anymore
