    Default question about army costs

    Hi,
I'm playing another mod which uses the field-cost of DLV, which is a good idea (planning to try DLV after 2.0 is out btw). Anyway i see in the financial statistics still high expenses for armie supply and payment (dont know the exact english terms) also when all armies are in a settlement.
Are your army-costs you posted in your feature threat additional costs, or are the statistics false or are there additional costs that influence the statistics? Do you observe these costs too?
    thx for any reply.

    These are the costs:

    Field Army Costs
    a. Besieging Army costs 2000fl + 500fl each additional Named General beyond the first
    b. Army in Enemy Territory costs 500fl + 500fl each additional Named General beyond the first
    c. Army in Friendly Territory (outside a settlement) costs 200fl +200fl each additional Named General beyond the first
    d. Army in Fort (captain-led) zero cost (so you can set up forts on the frontier as a defensive strategy)
    e. Army in Fort led by Named General costs 500fl (enemy lands) or 200fl (friendly lands) +500/200 for each additional Named General beyond the first
    f. Army in a settlement...no additional cost

    Cheers!

    thx for the answer.
That means that these fielding costs are additional to the "normal" costs for an army that is stationed in a settlement? Did you tune down the vanilla costs for stationed units a bit in return?
Do these additional fielding costs apply to both Player and AI?

    Hi there,

AFAIK, the field cost script applies only to the human player. You should check the readme for details.

When you check the finances at the end of your turn, it will show the estimated figures WITHOUT the additional cost (the field cost script). So when you see +2500 estimated income and have a besieging army somewhere, the result will 0. The field costs are deducted at the end of the player´s turn.

I´m too waiting for the 2.0. It will be great.

    What about Crusader armies?

If i have a crusader army comprised of 1 general and full stack units will it still cost me 2000florins to send it on crusade?

    Also about jihads as well.

Field army costs apply to crusading and jihadi armies...you do pay much lower maintenance for those armies as per usual.

    Cheers!

You still pay normal maintenance for all armies.

Field army costs only apply to armies not in settlements, AND only to the player.

    Cheers!
