    Default Lands to Conquer - Frequently Asked Questions(read before posting)

    This will be updated as often as possible to reflect the most often asked questions about the mod, and to reflect the possible future changes the mod will make.

    Q. Why's it called Lands to Conquer if it doesn't have any new provinces in it?

    A. My mod for RTW was called Terrae Expugnandae, which is lands to conquer in latin. So when M2TW came out and i decided to do a mod for it, LTC was the obvious choice of name for it.

    Whilst there isn't a new mod or more provinces in LTC at the moment, i may add in a new map or new provinces in future versions.

    Q. Why isn't [insert name of popular mod here] in LTC?

    A. Because

    a) i don't like the mod
    b) it isn't easy to implement in my mod

    Q. Why no new textures/units/factions in LTC?

    A. Until the issue with the mod switch and certain file paths gets fixed by an official patch(hopefully 1.2), i won't include them as they would need to be installed to the main data folder and i want my mod to install everything to a new folder.

    However i do plan on adding new units, and possibly new factions and textures in future versions once these issues get fixed. Possibly.

    Q. Why are you ignoring this really popular suggestion?

    A. It's my mod, i will include what i want in it. I read every thread in this sub forum, and will like some ideas, but in the end i decided what goes into the mod.

    Q. Why you not making huge changes to the unit recruitment system and implementing an AoR?

    A. The above is an example of any suggestion that would change my mod from being 'M2Tw vanilla but enhanced' to 'radical game changes mod'. My mod is based around the key principle of keeping the vanilla game feel, and not changing that too much.

    Q. Do you do all the work on the mod yourself?

    A. Apart from the occasional help of other modders like lawngnome with certain aspects of modding, and the inclusion of other modders work, everything in the mod is done by me.

    Q. I make money too easily in this mod, will this change?

    A. I may reduce the ease of making money slightly, you will find you need that money when you get into a war.

    Q. There is this great script idea why don't you include it?

    A. I will not include any script that penalises the player for no reason other than to just make things harder as the ai is not very difficult. I will include scripts that give the ai a boost to make things bit more of a challenge, and hence the money script for the ai.

    Q. When do the Mongols/Timurdis appear/When does gunpwoder/New World happen?

    A. Apart from the Mongol and Timurid events, the date of no game event has been changed. Though i may make gunpowder happen later in future versions.

    The Mongols are coming event will appear between 1188 - 1264.

    The Timurids are coming event will appear between 1328 - 1424.

    Q. Lusted, you talk to the CA devs can you ask them -

    A. Stop right there. Yes, i do have quite a bit of contact with several CA Oz devs, but that does not mean im going to convey every question people ask me. Most of the stuff i get told/talk about is in confidence, and i would like my chats with them to be productive not just endless amounts of questions for them from members. They live in Oz, i live in the UK, my time chatting to them is hampered by the difference in time zones as a result.

    Hi Lusted thanks for doing a FAQ. Could I suggest putting in likely dates for the Mongol, Timurid, New World and Gunpowder events in LTC into the FAQ, as these are asked quite often. Cheers.
