Just a quick question .. I have played 3 campaigns in TLR 1.8 now past the year 1300 and have yet to see a Mongol invasion occur..
Have I just not waited long enough.. or is there something missing?

Yep, bug. I don't remember which version I fixed it in.
But I know it has been taken care of in any of the 1.9 Betas.

I'm playing using the 1.9 Beta 5. I received the Mongol Invasion event but it wasn't what I was expecting. It consisted of 1 full stack and another filled to about a tenth. A 1 star general lead the single full stack.
I was really disappointed. Did TLR purposelly weaken the Mongol Invasion event?
My last game the Russian faction pretty much wiped out the Mongols. By the time they got out of Russian territory they where down to a stack and a part. In the game I'm playing now the Mongol's took Edessa, Aleppo, Antioch, Damasicus, Jerusalem, and Tyrus then made the mistake of attacking me. I can say that there where 4 or 5 generals that had at least 8 stars. So to me it sounds like if you only had a 1 star general then someone else got to them first.
Don't forget that the invasion comes in three waves. First is a scouting army, then a moderate invasion and then a full scale invasion.
Hmm, hopefully this will work,
The bug was caused because I had doubled all the event starting years.

; ------------ CORE GAME EVENT --------------
event historic mongols_invasion_warn
Change the date to area to something just ahead of your current year.
E.g. 1260 - 1080 = 180
So,
date 181 185
I can't be sure that will work with a campaign already in progress though.
If it works, you may want to change the other important events like the timurid invasion.
Sorry.

thx but the game is in timescale 0.5, so it should be :
; ------------ CORE GAME EVENT --------------
event historic mongols_invasion_warn
date 362 (181x2) 370 (185x2)
right ?
I tried both but it doesn't work...
don't know what to do (my campaign needs a new breath)
See thats what I thought which is why we had that bug back then. Timescale doesn't have an effect on the events file. The events file always counts in years no matter the timescale.

So they never gonna come ??
Neither the timurid?
They will come, before 1480.
