Default Multiplayer Campaign as of 2/26/07.

    ***GAME UNDER WAY***

***You can still join, email me at jlmerce2730@yahoo.com or post here***
    Current status:

    Mercja - Emperor
Myrmedon - Legio II, Legio V
Jegui - XIV Legion, Octavianus' auxiliary legion, Hostilitus auxiliary legion
Tiberius - Legio VIII, Legio XXIV, 6 Ships near sicily, 2 spies

    *** Guidelines ***

We are playing by the houserules (they are stickied).

Always exterminate any city to take, and destroy all buildings that are not roman culture.

More legions will be recruited and command given as Rome sees fit. Expect reinforcements to come.

There are replacements in the fort on the front that can be used by the other three legions, first come first serve. But if you dont have an empty slot for the men, dont take them. Use mercenaries to fill empty slots in legions, but the emperor frowns on overuse of mercenaries, so disband them and replace them with romans when they are available from the fort.

Brutus' Rebels will be left alone until Brutus dies, unless some rash general attacks them sooner. If they are beaten, there will be glory and honor, if that general fails, he will be sorely disgraced.

Remember that you need to activate the garrison script, especially if you start to besiege a city. And never attack with just a spy and no rams/ladders/towers. You NEED to have at least ONE piece of siege equipment to assault. This means you cant attack without waiting 1 turn for the garrison to fill up. If you desire Rome to send onagers to support you if you are fighting lots of assaults, send a runner and the emperor will decide if you are worthy.

    --------------------------------------------ORDERS AS OF 3/1/07---------------------------------------------------

Hostilius' auxiliary Legion - Move to support in the capture of Niceae (move west of the city).
Legio VIII - continue to take Syracuse
Legio XXIV - Is under plague, let them stay outside the province until its over.
Legio XIV - move southwest and take Nicaea.

**Legio XII is being recruited to help defend and/ or take more of Gaul due to the front being expanded.** I will make a decision as to who gets command.

REMEMBER THESE ARE YOUR GENERALS AND THEIR LEGIONS, IF NO DESIGNED TASK IS SET FOR THEM THEN MOVE AS YOU WISH. YOU MAY BE REWARDED OR REPRIMANDED BASED ON YOUR DECISIONS.

I've retired to be a rich man in luxury for the time being. I will lay around eating grapes and listen with jealousy to you generals winning battles.

I see... a rich senator's life beware of those Italian grapes, they may hide the jealousy of ur enemies... with dire consequences

I'll remember of u mighty one whilst I'm marching on the muddy steppes of Germania... u'll be most likely surrounded by gorgeous slave girls serving u grapes whilst enjoying the rewards of a brilliant military career

Regardless the number of players in the MP campaign as of now there will be many more legions recruited in order to expand the empire.

Is Berserkerblitz still interested in playing or has he given up?

Also Jegui, can you tell me why Legio XIV is not at Niceae taking the city? Should I have you flogged or are you going to cross the Rubicon with your legions? lol I will update the thread daily.

My lord!!! It wasn’t my fault my lazy legionaries camped across the river in the PO valley and partied all night lead by some mutinied officers… I had all of them flogged and crucified…

PS- The legion had all movement expired (don’t now why) so I couldn’t do anything apart from commanding my auxilia legion into position west of Niceae

btw I'm willing to command more imperial legions if u my lord wish so... ur humble servant jegui ;-)

I will send an email with detail instructions on how to play along with the save game. I now have a new named legion just recruited.

    @ Tiberius

STOP AUTO-CALCING BATTLES. Or you will loose a legion. You should have taken Syracuse on the last turn. There is no reason four units of greeks should be left.

Final question - as this is multiplayer with limited resources, who decides where and when to recruit support legions?

You can build Alae or Auxilia style Legions. I usually follow the same setup of 10 Auxilia Swordsmen, and then Same missile, Javelinmen, etc. These are used on Borders to help Support the Legions!

There is no Limit for Auxilia Legions.

The emperor decide which legions are created and where they come from, and who gets command. Your ability to follow orders and make sound decisions on you own win the emperors favor.

You can only use one faction in the MP campaign. There is no manual, if you want to know how the turns go the look at the other thread in this forum for I will only post this once.

I did indeed see - Thank you very much, I look forward to leading my men in glorious service to the imperator .

I know Legio II comes from central Italy, not sure where Legio V hails from.

    Cheers!
