it did it with plain big map by cut and paste
I advise only using the descr_campaign_ai_db.xml, descr_diplomacy.xml, and descr_faction_standing.txt with LTC. Just copy them fromt he UAI download into landstoconquer\data folder.

GrandViZ author of UAI recommends that we also edit LTC 'descr_strat.txt' and replace all 'faction_standings' and 'faction_relationships' in the start of diplomacy section with the UAI 1.3 'descr_strat.txt' entries. He says that UAI 1.3 won't work properly without it... u need to start a new campaign for UAI1.3 to work with these options![]()
Hi Lusted, I think I've found a problem with UAI 1.3 and LTC 2.1. (when using the files as recommended above). The Pope seems to either love factions or hate them and little in between. Factions either have a full or nearly full Pope rating or zero or almost zero and are ex-com. Several Popes in a row now have this attitude.
I'm gonna report this to GrandViz as well...
Cheers, G91
Yes it will. And you mean 2.2.

is UA 1.3 any good? I heard its waaay too easy.
I found it too easy myself. Cease fires are ridiciously easy to obtain as is trade treaties. Just build a diplomat and send him across the map and you will gain a huge amount of florins just by securing trade treaties early in the game. I was never able to do that with vanilla. I used the desc_strat diplomatic setting for 1.3 but still found the AI to be boringly passive.
Try Darth's diplomatic settings. His is more challenging and the AI retains some of the unpredictability of vanilla.
Work of God
Yeah, I had the easiest campaign with HRE so far on VH/VH (I thought HRE should be a hard faction to play from what I've heard from the community). AI only once declared war (France) on me and that lasted for 6 turns. After that it has been only me that has been declaring wars on factions. AI should take advantage of the situation when I'm in a bad situation (for example when I was at war with France and nearly all my forces were on the western border, Hungary, frances ally, didn't even declare war on me).
I'm guessing Lusted will include the new patch in his next version. He just needs a bit of time after it's released to adapt LTC.
I'm testin 1.3 now.
It's my first campaign on M/VH so I need to do a VH/VH to see.
It's probably all for not any way on acount of the things the patch will change.
I've been using it in an aborted Turks campaign and my current Byzantine campaign.is UA 1.3 any good? I heard its waaay too easy.
On H/VH the AI is presenting a pretty good challenge and is actually working very intelligently on the diplomatic side.
No longer are they declaring war like madmen, nor are they laying down and waiting to be conquered.
HRE got into a five way war and asked me (their allies) for assistance, at the sametime they provided help against the Turks and Venice. Also, once I defeated the Venetian army the first time (they were already at war) my reputation with the HRE increased, which I thought was a nice touch.
Also... very surprisingly, once I invaded Venice, Russia (my other ally) declared war on Venice as well.
So far I'm extremely happy with 1.3. It's not too easy or too hard and the nations are acting intelligently and grudge nations are always slugging it out.
Only bad thing? Milan is conquering the western world while I rebuild the Roman Empire...
We're on a collision course..![]()
I've seen varied papal standing using 1.3, but i suppose more testing is needed.I'm gonna report this to GrandViz as well...
