    Default Fighting style

Do the battles follow the style of fighhting i am aware of?
    I.E. shield-wall against shield-wall
bearing in mind this awareness comes from a historical fiction book (Bernard Cornwell's Warlord Chronicles) and you may have found different in your research.

Cornwell's books are excellent yet not that much accurate

Well, at least with the Britons you will see that having a line of infantry with the cavalry attacking on the flanks or rear is working good. At least with proper charging and lances crouched! And avoid letting cavalry in melee. They are strong but very expensive.
