    can someone give me the installation instructions for gimp dds plug-in??

    Oké.

    This is the plugin (download), you need to click on "Windows binaries".
    Open the .zip. You will see: dds.exe; glew32.dll; glut32.dll and a readme-file. Select the dds.exe, the glew32.dll and the glut32.dll and place it in the folder: C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins (as exemple). Normally it should work.

    Can someone give me the link for the .dll data:dxtn.dll
    it says that it needs that to open the image
