shieldwall???

question: with the Romans you can do shieldwall but i think its better with shield wall That they stand ''ready"

Like wen the enemy is nearby the romans put there shield in front of them, but i want in shield walll that they allready have there shields in front of them.

i sent my shield wall before i start battle,, i address my lines before i click it.

You cant get your men to put their shields in front until the enemy are close right? At least... I didnt think you could.?

yeah thats exactly what i mean

they HAVE to put there shields in front of them or it won't be a shield wall (well thats waht i think)

The shieldwall formation is just a really tight formation. The men will never put their shields out unless there are enemies near. That is hardcoded it seems.

Once I did get my men to make a "testudo line" I have no idea how it happened and could never get it again, but even when no enemies were near, a 4 rank line the front rank had the shields out and the 3 rear ranks had them over their heads. Could never repeat the bug though.
