    Default Mac & PC

    Hey everyone,

I hope I am in the right place for this. I just purchased a Mac with Adobe Creative Suite 2. I have a PC that I play my games on. My question is, can I take a screenshot on my PC and manipulate the shot with the software I have on the Mac and then transfer it on the PC. I hope this makes sense to someone. I am learning about this equipment as I write. I appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance.

    Sincerely,

    hey man,
of course you can, simply save the picture from the shot in any soft you have on the pc ex:image editor, then open it from your mac, i might suggest the jpeg format for maximum compatibilities.

good luck on whatever your doing

But don't save as jpeg using Paint, the compression is horrible.

well, I'm guessing a proffessional program by adobe should be able to read almost any file type, and if not, you can probably DL a plugin for it.

Thanks for your responses. I am looking to maybe give a skinning a try, I just wanted to know if that is possible using two seperate completely different computers. Thanks again.

It is possible, though needlessly complicated with all the filetransfering. You don't have a PC-version on that CS2-disc?

I went home last night and looked on my CS-2 package and all it says is it's for Mac. Although, on the instructions it did have a version for downloading onto a Mac and a version for a PC. I'll have to check it out some more. Thanks.

Just press the Prnt Scrn (Print Screen) button. You may have to press pause and then Alt & Tab to get out of the game, then paste it on a program like paint. I think the easiest way, though, is to use IfranView. It is free (you can Google it) and then all you have to do it press Prnt Scrn. After you're finished with your game, you can open up the tgas in InfranView. I hope that helped.

    Juggernawt,

You know what, I didn't even think about that. I just figured the software was only for the Mac. I'll have to give it a go. Thanks for the idea.

I've got an hacked Adobe Photoshop CS2 for my PC and it works fine. The only problem is that it sometimes just says that I need to register when I open it... it's a bit tedious that window that pops out, lol.

Mac Pro with Windows XP is a pretty goos choice but, Overall I would say PC's rule.

btw, just out of interest, what mac did you get, johnny76? And how much did it cost you?

iMacs I know for a fact are a HUGE waste of money and are extremely poor value for money.

I have one of the newest iMac. It has a 20" screen and on the top of the frame there is a camera and a microphone. It has an Intel Core Duo processor. It ran about $1500 dollars. I really like it. It is fast and it has many features, like Garage Band and iMovieHD. I can do so much as far as editing songs, movies, skits, and podcasts. I think it is pretty nice.
