    Default New Buildings

In the future, let's keep new building discussion in here.

Which reminds me, Squid...I take it the 'fake imperial palace' is a no go from what I saw at the .org? Kinda thought so....that 'core_building' tree doesn't like being messed with. Too bad.

Its not a no go, but I'm trying a different route then I tried there, for the moment its a no go, but hopefully I'll get it to work later.

I have a few ideas of how I'd like to do it, I'm hoping one of them will work.

And for the moment I'm working on Traits, and am hoping to get an Age Mod working (based on the GAFH Traits) for release 9.

Hey dvk.. the blacksmith is for population control now? I was testing patch 10 and I had to keep destroying them while invading the gaul territories. Should we destroy them?

You're supposed to build them to curb growth, destory them to encourage it.

Yeah, but I had to change that...it just wasn't working the way I'd hoped. What we really need is a building called 'Create Plague' or something, with an alternate 'Have Babies' building.

lol dvk. perhaps you could have a building called like um whatever the romans or greeks called their "hospitals", which adds hapiness and a health bonus, and a population growth bonus as it would help with lowering infant deaths i spose. and then on the opposit side would be like the barbarians tavern, but roman/greek looking and it would have the opposite traits as people get killed there and stuff. what ya think?

I think a Military hospital is the way to go, turns out Augustus actually formed a professional doctors class too.

The other day I saw a documentary about Roman buildings, and in Rome there was Trajan's Market, which was built into the side of a hill in Rome, and was huge! It had 120 shops/stalls, over many levels, and the new forum infront of it. Maybe something like this could be put in Rome at the end of the market line?

The Senate hose would be a great idea, especially for the senate campaign

As soon as I'm done the map I'll take a look at what you sent me. I still need to add the landmarks and resources back in, make the desert one big region, and probably a couple of other minor things I haven't thought of yet.

DVK, I think I know what the problem was with your new building, unfortunately I deleted the file and you removed the link from your post, so if you could repost the file I'll look at it and see if the problem is what I think it is.

Having been reading about some building problems I'm pretty sure I know what the issue is (I'm going to test to make sure). The good news, it was nothing that you did DVK, the bad news, the fix might, read probably will, be a pain in the ass.
