    Default ?Kingdom of Epirus Mod?

As I read some info around RTR forums(source), I think that it is worths it such a mod to be developed in order to be compatible with the new PE 1.8. The idea of adding Epirus, Pergamon and Britons as playable factions is brilliant and first of all historically correct. Is someone working on such a progect, or will someone include those factions, so that we can get better historical accuracy. Especially with the Epirus faction, which is quite exigent to be added in RTR series ...

    Yes, actually, we are: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=83413

We're using the Galatians instead of Pergamon, though. I love Pergamon as much as the next guy, but I have to agree with Candel about their relative significance.

Want to help? We've nearly got tQst's old mod and Candel's ExRM merged into RTR-PE 1.8 (iamphet rocked out on his work, and I just {15 minutes ago} overcame my last hurdle and should be done by the end of the week). AndarielHalo is doing unit R&D, so e-mail him and/or me if you want to help with that.

I have no experience in modding actually I could only help in advising about historical problems.
I see you are initiating good improvements and the only thing I disagree with is deleting Rhegium. Croton would reign too much territory. Actually more provinces are needed. The more provinces there are, the better and realistic the game becomes. Despite this, all your work will worth the efforts

Whilst representing every town and village would be cool...it has serious implications for faction balance and game play. The more provinces a faction starts with or has an advantage to expand in to, (i.e close geographic proximity) the quicker it can become overpowered and unassailable.

So you know, tGst's mod had many faults which I fixed by myself.
Example: Barbaric names, temples, only one family member and so fourth. .
Have you guys spent any thoughts on that matter?

Names are fixed. Temples are nearly fixed.

How do I fix the family member issue?

We're also revamping the units. Any other ideas?

Family members you add in descr_strat.txt by using existing names from descr_names.txt. I only added children (under 16) to Phyrrus so they wouldn't have to appear on the campaign map.
I can't remember what else was wrong for now except for ancillaries

    Thanks.

Yeah, Rhegium may stay in there. The only reason I wanted to get rid of it was to help the AI pathfinding, which tends to get stuck there.

Well, post any historical suggestions you have here. I'm always open to ideas.

    I see. That's a good idea.

I'm pretty sure I've got the ancillaries taken care of, too. For the record, which files do I alter for those, and how? I'd like to make sure I didn't miss something.

And of course a wife to him, can't have children without that.

    export_descr_ancillaries.txt is the ancillary file.
The faction type line should be relevant.

Ah, of course. Thank you for reminding me of the wife.

Ok, I'll check that out. I think I fixed it, but I've done so many alterations that I don't remember for sure.
