Building Spartan hoplites
I didn't have any luck searching for this. I'm doing a Greek campaign on RTW vanilla. The only place that builds Spartan hoplites is Sparta. Is there a way to have conquered cities build them? It's a pain having a long supply route of Spartans going to and from the battlefield.

Re: Building Spartan hoplites
I'm going to say that my answer is a definite not sure.
Honestly though I tend to skip the Elite units in all campaigns since you can win on hard with the just less than elite units. The less than elite train faster, one versus two or three turns to train and they retrain almost anywhere by late game.
That said I love the Spartans and look forward to the reply that answers this better.

Re: Building Spartan hoplites
In vanila you can train spartans in Sparta and Syracuse. if you want to make them trainable in all your cities go to export_descr_building file in data folder and delete the part hidden resource sparta.... in the baracs line. remember to backup first

Syracuse, eh? I've just landed a legion there and am preparing for a siege. That's good to know that they can train Spartans there as well. And thanks for the tip on editing that file. I'll give that a shot as well.
And I agree with someone above, that I may not need them, but I just WANT them. I've been a Spartan fan since I was a kid. My old school was nicknamed the Spartans.
