    Sorry, I forgot to reply you before 3 Days. I have fixed the problem, I download Generic Mod Enabler V1.5.06 for Mods. It worked for me and medieval 2 total war. By the way, excellent mod you've created so far. There is a problem in the buildings. If you can create a new patch for this game. It will be hilarious. For example:- 1- Add more factions like anatomist, zaoristian, shintoast, shii, I can't pronounced shii, this is in Islamic and hindusim. It will be better also if make a map from europe to all asia. Believe me everyone will download it. When your enemy attacks your settlement the religious buildings that you added didn't appeared. I've seen that have added old traditional buildings like in Zhang Zuo Total War and Three Kingdoms Total War. Do this and you will get a prize.

    It just quit out, but then again that's what every mod did with ******ing gold edition.

    Guitars too.

    Too bad Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden pwns me. (They are the world's two best bands.)

    Bagpipes 'R' Us, we probably can't help if it's something that happens for you with all mods, but where & when???

    @Benny_DK noted, on list of things to look at, though can't spot an open source crossbow animation atm.

    For End of Days and Troy Total War, it closes right after the loading screen. For Forth Elongas (can't spell Rhohanic) the menu works, but none of the actual gameplay things are there.

    Hi, Bagpipes 'R' Us, I seem to be following you around! Did try replying on PM but in-case anyone else has same problem:

    If you're having general problem installing things please check that your gold edition is actually patched to BI v 1.6 apparently some aren't. Launch standard BI game, select options screen and see what it says in top right hand corner. If 1.4 you need to patch to 1.6 before installing us / anything else recent.

    Only other possible problem is you're not correcting the path for the installer: the original game goes to :- x:/program files/activision etc but I think gold is installed to slightly different path, make sure you know where the RTW folder you're using is and direct installers to it, using browse function in installer/s...

    Let me know if you still can't get EoD to work, I think every one else has, so it shouldn't be insolvable!!

    The vanilla BI animation file has a crossbow animation, perhaps not as elaborate as the Chivalry one, but it works, and since I doubt you took anything out of the anim pack, it should still be there.

    Thanks for the tip, I've been trying to duplicate message and can't get it so far - did just discover it isn't to do with putting Troy over the top, although not particularly advisable that does seem to work. Can't duplicate it messing up shortcut either currently as that generally just gives you RTW. Somepeople have obviously found more creative way of mis-installing mod's than I've thought of so far. Having had to DL Troy (which I don't currently have time to play) just to find out what it overwrites did remind me though of idea of trying to get released mods to list somewhere if they are in -mod folder or not, please see:

    And aaaaaarrrghhh, seeing you here just made something click, my install instructions don't take into account another -mod mod (eg CI) being installed already within the BI folder. It won't actually hurt either game but will give an unnecessary copy of CI etc. within EOD mod-folder!!! Oops, need to go apologise to anyone wondering where their hard disc space went!

    Ah, a mistake I made when i first did it but I rewrote the bat file to make sure it was avoided in the future - spent 40 mins *after* extraction to finish before I realise chiv, metw and a couple of other versions of our own were in there. lol

    We've certainly reduced installation error reports from players, but some still do find some very creative things to do. I think many assume Gold to always be 1.6 - that's one of our big issues. But if people read the install instructions carefully...

    I suggested mods be listed by their structure many moons ago - People want to know what is compatible with what and not have to make a zillion copies of RTW on their PCs. I can't look at that now though - I'm in "very heavy modding" mode and it's not pretty...

    its me again. i started a new campaign as just before with the Satanae and this time i made it past that turn with no crash. i'm not sure what happened before. i've come back to report a ctd. just as before. i guess the ctd is random. it really sux cuz i LOVE playing as the Satanae.

    hi, preston, sorry you were having trouble - I can only say that is unusual from our experience - do you have the save from before the crash in the first campaign still? If you do I would be very grateful if you could send it so I could see what was going on with all the factions at that time.

    yes i have the save game before the crash. this one isn't the 669 because as i had said i restarted and it happened again in a different year and i'm not sure why its happening. i'll upload the file tomorrow when i return home from school. thanks for the quick reply!

    thanks preston, don't guarantee I can do anything with it but its worth a look!

    Can I encourage everyone - playing any mod - to please keep regular named saves as well as the autosave. If when reporting bug CTD etc. you can produce save from just before the event you get lots of brownie points. It can also help you as player if you realise you made disastrous decision a few goes back! (sometimes a little cheating i.e. going back is necessary, at least for me )

    well I can tell you how to get past crash - now need to go look for root cause!

    You've got Pandemonium about to build upgraded port and ships in the build queue there as well - if you take the ships out of the build queue it goes past end turn fine. I did a last minute change to upgrade the ships for Satanae in main campaign and it obviously doesn't like that upgrade if they are queued at same time port is built, bahhh..... sorry

    P.S. you're meant to play Satanae in provincial campaign - its same map just harder!

    P.P.S. really, really thanks for sending save - that's very useful thing to have found out!

    ah! thank you so much for the help. lol yeah i know the satanae are meant to be played in provincial campaign i only did it in normal campaign just for fun to see what it would be like. it's quite interesting. also glad i was able to find and bring to attention an issue. if i find anymore i'll be glad to send you a save game

    No matter what I do, my game always crashes at the end of the Summer turn in 692 AD, when playing as the Satanae.

    EDIT: Nevermind. I read the problem above and it seems that it was the same one.
    You guys might want to fix that, though.

    Ah, well....the Satanae are not supposed to be played in the main campaign
    so we never tested them, playing them in the provincial campaign should work fine.

    Umm, yes, glad you spotted the reason - I will issue a fix for it soonish. Trouble is the fix is going to be more likely to crash peoples saved campaigns than the original problem . So I only want to issue it in patch with other bits so as not to cause too many campaign re-starts - you should be fine to keep playing your campaign with them just remember not to have boat in build queue when next level port is about to be built.

    Anyway as HS said Satanae are meant to be played on provincial campaign where they are slightly more difficult.

    hey a little help please, i have done everything in the read me, i have 1.6 and done the folder copying and renaming etc, i go to load up and i get an error message which reads:

    script error in bi/eod/data/descr_items.txt
    at line 15, Column 9
    include file not found in data/descr_items/ :'di_spot_items.txt'


    Its probably something i havent done, as i am new to all this.
