    Just wanted to know.

I'm writing a book called EqCards. It's about a Scottish boy in the end of the 18th century who finds a horse and keeps him. But his father hates horses for some reason. The boy hides the horse and goes there after school to ride him. After his father and some mysterious figures burn down the local church, Phil runs to the hidden school of EqCards. There, he finds many secrets unknown to the World...

Feel free to talk about the book you wrote/are writing.

I'm in the process of composing a series of books. The name of my series is "The Divided View". It will comprise at least 3 books, most likely more. The series is about where we (humans) come from, why we are here, what is going to happen to us and why it happened to us. Pretty much explaining everything religion has tried to explain for thousands of years. Obviously, it is a science fiction series, but I incorporated a few of my theories into it.

I have not made that much progress, I have not even finished my first book yet, but I'm getting there. I have structured the first book and put down a couple of chapters, but it is still changing and I am still working on it, so I suspect sometime within a year this book should be complete.

And this isn't just some crazy idea I came up with off the top of my head one day, it's based and has a lot of scientific background, historical background, religious background and subjective background as well. So, it isn't just some wild theory, it's based off of what I know about history, religion, science and people. You'd be amazed at the possibilities we have the potential for.

I am writing several books right now. Only one is a story though.
My better books are one analyzing society in different aspects, and my novel, which is about a small squadron operating behind enemy lines during a fictional world war (although they also participate in the Battle of Trench and the Siege of Ardes). Its very bloody, and I would love to see it as a movie. The Battle of Trench especially. Its such a bloody destructive battle, involving over 900 tanks, 5000 infantry, 60 planes, a bunch of artillery, all massed in a valley of ditches and ravines covering a few square miles, blocked in by mountains on either side.
The Siege of Ardes would also be great, because it involves a hell of a lot of planes, destroyers, battleships, aircraft carriers, and some pretty nifty coastal defense weapons.
The novel is more like Saving Private Ryan, in the sense that there is a simple plot, but they face numerous challenges while attempting to achieve it, and there are a lot of violent scenes. The large battles aren't the most dangerous though for the main characters. Two words: Sniper city. And the novel is realistic, as in, the characters could die and may die any time. They might not even survive until the end. Sure, I develop their characters, but that just makes it more dramatic when they get a .50 in their head suddenly.

I keep a collection of short stories. Every time I think up a new one, I normally scribble the basic plot on a napkin/flyer/anything else and then I read it over and write it down. I currently have 37. I divide them up into sections of 13 stories each. Why? Because I like to.
I like to write crime short stories--not so much the romanticising of them, but the details that show both sides of the coin. I like to use dark humor and descriptive writing. Painting pictures with words is hard, but it leaves more to the imagination than the brush ever could.

Besides the book I'm writing, I also wrote three stories: One regarding a fictional Sicilian Empire (I do the Grand Campaign and then make a story out of it), the other about a young Roman hunter whose city is ravaged by the barbarians and the last about a Nazi soldier.

Good luck on writing those books/stories!

I am writing a book right now, about a fictional "Roman Empire", and the main character is a general who is trying to fight for the "Rome" in this book in an age of massive invasions.

PS: Good luck to all you guys on writing!

Is the world the same or another?

    That's an interesting plot.

I have written so many books, and always at page 30, I give up.

    Here are some plotlines:

A Dutch teen living alone in Wyoming, whose sister gets kidnapped by Chinese thugs living in central Africa.

An American journalist jailed by crooked Vietnamese police (too cliche).

A story called 'The Odium Ring' (LOTR rip-off).

An American soldier who shares his stories in the Vietnam war era with his English psychologist neighbor.

Hopefully a longer life will add to my skills and give me more ideas from experiances.
