I'm still downloading the mod, and was wondering

Does this mod feature Area Of Recruitment, or you can just recruit anything anywhere?

A bit of a mix iirc, each faction can recruit their own units everywhere but in addition have regional units, ie the Christian factions can recruit 'Crusaders' in the regions around the Satanae home lands.

A Christian Crusader Cathedral building will give unique Crusader type units in the Christian Homelands, and on the Mediterranean islands that each Christian nation starts with, such as Cyprus for France, the Cathedral will give some uber Crusader units that are better and different then the Crusader type units that ca be recruited in the Christian homelands. I'm now playing France again, and just noticed this difference between Cyprus and the French homelands.

It' s a good and interesting mod and the art style is unique and interesting. I haven't downloaded Lycan yet but may do so in the near future.

Your Greek Warlords mod also looks interesting, and once again your art style for the units is unique. Pretty darn good IMHO.

Wow this is a great mod I like it so much i liked the idea that you guys put the factions altogether like that its a mix of medieval and dark fantasy

just started playing btw always i choose the hardest setting and that would be pandemonium still buiding my military might still waiting for the AI to surprise me

year 698 my faction was wiped out

this is what happened my first defeat was in 1 of my lower cities it was being
sieged by the pagans so after defeating them the satanae seiged next so all is lost while im busy fighting all the pagans in my upper cities, then Germanicae made an alliance with me so i accepted also making trade rights with all the factions near my territories, after defeating all the pagan armies near my upper cities who would have thought that my ally Germanicae would seiged all my cities they wiped out my entire faction due to my weakened state fighting with the pagans i never had the chance to rebuild my armies resulting in an early defeat by a clever AI plus satanae was invading everywhere so i must say this is a very challenging mod. I'll play another faction this time and still at a VH/VH or Pandemonium level

Yep, the then Germanicae prove to be a formidable enemy if you don't recruit enough units on your boarders with them, they did the same to me. There are no easy factions really though Albion are probably the easiest of the bunch..

I though the Shambala were easiest. If used correctly, horse archers dominate. Also they have the most space between them and the other empires. Their only trouble compared to the 4 christian factions is that they have to actually convert the lands they take.

A'yup, I forgot about the HA of the Shambhala, they do kind of pwn everyone which was an oversight on our part. Though we did nerf the Lycan HA in Lycan Rising..

Yup, I don't think either myself or Mak had ever used HA's exclusively before so it was a tactic we simply hadn't thought of, if we had we'd have reduced the number of arrows per man. Oh well, funny though how the AI never does that, i've never seen the 'Shambhala' dominate against Islam when under AI control.

This is a beautiful, well thought out mod

The units = well balanced and exceptionally modelled
The landscape = great settlement placement and good looking campaign map
The music = well chosen for battle and in campaign

In other words I love it!!!!!

It's loosely based on the 'Gog and Magog' myth, which itself has many variations. I chose the satanic 'army nation' version which according to myth (or prophesy) sees the rise of a nation which will pave the way for the coming of the anti-Christ. I expanded that by constructing an alternative history where by the nation had existed but had been 'covered up' by the holy fathers,

The most important element of making a mod is the immersion factor, without the back-up of a well known story or history EoD had to rely on atmospherics such as lighting and music to get that ''oppressive'' feel and the use of event messages where we used letters from a monk cut off among the dark lands. We really wanted to make a mod that was different, darker.

Then there's the added elements of the rise of 'Islam' and the nomadic armies of the 'Shambhala' both of whom offer different challenges whether under player control or ai, or if you play as a Christian nation you'll also have to face betrayal by your allies at some point..
