Just went through the "Do we scare you?" thread, and I can't help but wondering, what happened to the satanic foot knights? I can't remember their name, but they looked like Illuminati Sergeants.

Ahh, yeh the original Nephilim knights, they were going to be a merc unit but i mislaid the model/texture, it's on my comp somewhere but i don't have a clue where. I first made them for Byzantium TW, they were Hungarian feudal knights.

Erax, glad you got it to work - installation instructions are a bit long winded but they are actually very simple to follow if you just do it step by step. Reason it is slightly more complicated than some mods is because it makes the effort to leave your initial installation untouched so you can still play vanilla game. Unfortunately that's not a process that BI was well designed for as unlike for RTW mods it requires copying of large parts of original game. Another mod team have recently developed a method of carrying out BI mod folder installation using and automated DOS program - however I'd like to do more research on that, before I'd trust myself to issue one of those!

Great tc, im loving the short campaign as satanistic.
Started also the long one as Albion but the lack of funds made me stop that (I desmobilized all troups but 1 on every city and still i loosing 530 gold per turn).

The key to playing as Albion isn't disbanding your troops early and building up. You have to liberate the rest of Britain/Ireland/Western Europe from the Pagans ASAP, and then you should find yourself quickly climbing out of debt.

Then you find yourself fighting for your life against the Hispanics, Germanics and Francians, still should get your armies warmed up for the Satanic invasion...then there is the ......... to worry about.

    Small patch released (v1.01)
    changes are as follows:
    • Vampire Headhunter animation corrected
    • Vampire Headhunter unit size reduced
    • Possible CTD bug when playing as Satanae in Main Campaign fixed
(though you're not meant to be playing Satanae in Main Campaign anyway )
    • Templar Militia recruitment added to highest level of church buildings.
    • Cliff removed at Tintagel's port to allow ship boarding
    • Crusader Sargentos cost revised
    • Minor spelling correction and trait description alteration
    • 2D graphic for night battle changed

Patch is not save game compatible (or particularly critical), please install it only when you are ready to start a new campaign. To install the patch launch the installer 1.01.exe and browse to the Rome - Total War directory you installed End of Days into. Install path should look like:
    C:\program files\activision\Rome - Total War
or similar, do not include \bi or bi\eod directory in the install path.

Playing my Francia campaign is extremely fun. The units looks awesome, the images quite cool, the music of the game... appropriate and suitable to the theme. This mod is definately great and fun to play. Crushing the Satanae hordes with Papal Seal beside me is quite fun

I noticed when i play as Francia that when i leave my town ungarrisoned, a pagan/rebel banner appears above the city where my own banner should be. Nothing important.

Also, the image for recruitment completed for Francia, is that made by the team or is it a Christian icon? If so, of who? Looks nice

Beware the Papal Seal, they have some awesome units and don't stay friendly forever.

    Really?....bahh, opps.

Not sure which you mean, the drop down image?, i think they are all from a set of Tarot cards, i'll have to check on that as i can't remember.

I'm at 743ad as Albion, after a disastrous campaign i launched from Kydonia where i managed to take all of the east European Satanae cities, i had to adopt a scorch and burn (then run away) policy, i just didn't have the cash to maintain that front and a major war in Hispania, also just at the re-emergance of the Germanicae, i was stretched on every front, so i managed to pull back my armies to northern Italy and decided to take Rome!.

The army i sent was full of quality units including Crusader knights, longbows, sargentos, and tuetons, with a handful of Kingsmen, after a hard fought battle for the walls (those swiss guards are dam tough) i finally took the gate, bringing in my reserves i was pretty confident of snatching Rome, but i hadn't figured on the wall of pikemen and Halbearers that were obscured from view in a side ally, i lost most of my cavalry and just about pulled my general clear, i sent in the sargentos and two units of kings men and just about cleared them, i decided to hold my men off from the last few pikemen as they were a fresh unit and my guys were whacked, Instead i headed for the city centre withmy remaining cavalry a unit of Kings axemen and a unit of Welsh longbows (no ammo), there was one unit of Cardinals guards waiting for me, long spears at the ready, now as most of my remaining force was cavalry i decided to attack from three directions, then pull out and repeat until my infantry could catch up, Oh did i mention i had three minuets on the clock!.

So i manage not to kill my General before the infantry turn up and start hacking their way though the enemy troops, with my general nearby and my last few Teuton's at the rear it didn't take long to finish them off, so i sat back stretch my tired back and waited for the victory message to come up........But it didn't Instead the papal unit i had left in the side ally had managed to wander around the other side of the square and were now marching toward my exhausted troops, one last charge one final push........no, i ran out of time, the clock had run down and i lost the battle, all for the sake of not rushing my men at a pike unit in an alleyway.

It's actually not a pagan banner - its a white version of a Francia one (it's only a semi "bahh, oops") - its a hang over from one stage when we had all the Christian nations with white banners, before realising you couldn't tell whose units were whose from a distance.

Glad you're enjoying it anyway, and yeah watch out for the Papal Seal!

Sorry, my mistake. Should've paid more attention.

Your right though, the Papal Seal has betrayed me (atacked me, blockaded my ports) and playing as Francia i can't afford to have this hoard blocking trade between my cities and harrassing my armies when i'm simultaneously fighting Satanae, Hispania and Albion. Currently the difficulty is H/M. I might post a pic of my empire so far soon. The games actually quite exciting as i can field large and competant armies (and so can the AI) for a change. Good work on the mod guys
