    Default cas and dds files

    After looking at some skins and such for units around the forums I downloaded them and want to use them now. What do I do with these cas and dds files? These skins and models didnt come with readmes and I dont mess around with this stuff alot so what do I need to do here?

    A cas file is a model, a dds file is a texture.

    1. Find data/models_unit.
    2. Paste the cas file into here.
    3. Create a folder in models_unit called textures.
    4. Paste the dds into here.
    5. Find data/descr_model_battle.txt
    6. Find the model you want to change.
    7. Write in the filenames for your new files.
    8. Run the game.

    This is quite a basic tutorial, but it should work. Any problems, post back.

    can i add dds and css files into the same folder without slowing down loadtimes/scantimes?

    like i have data/mod_in_a_mod/textures/julii, or is it better to mov my files to data/models_unit?

    Ok well late last night I realized that the skins and models I was trying to make work were under the mod Ancient Wars by King Louise - this mod isnt released yet, could this have anything to do with it?

    Also, what should the new file names look like? Can you give me an axample? I dont want to fool around with it and end up crashing my game.
