CTDs (again)

Well, I thought I posted, but I dont see it in the threads so here goes again. Upon installing 1.8 mod switch version on RTW 1.5 with BI 1.6, I recieved a message from the installer saying I didn't have version 1.5 of RTW or 1.6 of BI. The installer still installed the game, and there were no obvious problems. However, now all historical battles crash at the load screen. Campaigns will play for about 2 minutes before crashing. Is anyone else having this issue?

That message always shows to me, when I install RTRPE 1.8, but I haven't seen any obvious problems, accept the fact, that the AI is worse compared with the AI in 1.6 and 1.7.
