    Default IcyVoid Music

Well I am about ready to release an internal copy of the work I have done so far.. to get some feedback from you guys. Right now the campaign music is too strong to me and it detracts from the game so I am going to lower the amplitude about 30%. Expect this internal beta within 2 days from now. As far as the battle music, well it's a TEST version, and only 1 full battle track. I have yet really to mix it.

I am ready to upload an internal beta of the work I have done so far.. it is of course by far unfinished. The battle sequence is temporary and not mixed with other songs, therefor right now it would get repetitive. I just wanted a little feedback thats all.

I need hosting, the self extracting exe is about 47 meg. By the way the only thing the exe doesn't do is manually delete and or rename events.dat in the data/sounds folder which will need to be done manually before this will work.

Let me know where I can host this. Alright, off to bed, been working on this like 4 hours tonight.

Ok.. now I am officially off to bed.. don't forget you either need to rename or delete events.dat in data/sounds.

This gets extracted into the Roma Surrectum main folder.

Don't worry about the Ephesian Hoplite. I'm changing the name of 'Smryna' on the Big Map to Ephesus, and I've asked NR to move Sardis slightly southwest so we can rename that as well (on the Mundus). It'll be closer to the Temple at Ephesus anyway. As far as recruitment goes for these new hoplites, I'm not sure what Tyr is doing with that. I thought we had determined they would be recruitable by whomever had the city, and ALL Greek cultures. That way there are multiple opportunities for these to get recruited. For example, the Free People own Cyrene, so they will recruit it there. If Eygpt take the city, then Egypt...or Seleucid, etc.

My post (the one I asssume you are reffering to) is perfectly clear. The hoplites are available to all Greek Culture factions in the campaign. But in custom battle they are limited to a more historical usage. I thought that was what had been determined.
What do we mean by patriotism in the context of our times? I venture to suggest that what we mean is a sense of national responsibility ... a patriotism which is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.

The setting for availability in custom battles isn't that gracious. It's either 'on' or it's 'off'. 'no_custom' is an attribute added to the unit in EDU, if it's there, the unit is available to no one. It will have to be set to 'no_custom' for all of these, otherwise all 13 of them or so would show up in every Greek factions que.
Sorry, I assume too often that people 'know what I know'...so I was confused.

I assume its due to filefront having problems? You don't have to click the submit to filefront link right? I thought that was only to make it permanent.

Ah...right....thats awkward. I would actually prefer them to be not available in Custom battle at all then, it will further add to the elusiveness and attractiveness of these units; and it's always nice to have something thats campaign specific.

Sorry for the double post.. just updating, its available at megaupload now as well.

Don't forget to rename or delete events.dat in data/sounds otherwise you will have vanilla music.

Sir, you're campaign music is absolutely high quality and stunningly beautiful.
The Roman music just sends goose bumps thru my spine it's so good!! You obviously have an understanding for mood and cultural 'feel'. I understand it alright, but lack the talent to produce it. You don't! This will add a musical feel to Roma Surrectum I never would've expected. Thank You!

Continue working on this and you can bet it will be included.

As an optional download right? Doesn't extra music take up a lot of space?

DVK: Yes, all music will be an add-on.

Thank you for taking the time to download and listen to the changes. The only thing about this is it will need a disclaimer like punic music mod:
" NOTE/DISCLAIMER: It is most likely illegal in many areas of the world to use or even DL this
music without owning the original soundtracks its drawn from.

We are merely providing the music in moddable form for those people who own the soundtracks"

Yeah yeah.. I know and you know.

I've got DV's opinion.. but nobody else has said anything.. I need some feedback, that's primarily why I uploaded it. Is it on the right path to say?
