CTD on starting campaign

when i attempt to start a campaign, it does a CTD right at the end of the loading screen. VERY annoying.

Been looking forward to using this mod as greek type history has always interested me most.

Any help would be appreciated

Do you get an error message of any sort? The most common causes for CTDs on loading are: (1) You have another mod installed over the main data folder; (2) You installed XGM in the wrong place.

When you ran the XGM installer a file would have been generated called "install.log". If you post that here as an attachment, or e-mail it to me, that would help to figure out what went wrong.

ok i'll just have to switch it to this comp it's on a different one with no interent connection atm.

i get absalutley no sort of message, it just goes straight to the desktop.

The install log looks fine, and you appear to have the right version of RTW, so that means the problem is probably that some of the files in your main data folder have been messed up or over-written by another mod. The only way to fix that is to re-install and re-patch RTW.
