Can I have installed both on the same RTW 1.5? Don't think they will hurt each other, because both use mod folders, but better to ask before than complaining afterwards.
ive got both and they dont conflict... only thing is the loading bars are the ones from EB, whether u play xgm or EB
Well EB is not an completely independant install. in their faq it sais that the mod is changing some files and recomends to have separate instalation. don't know if it helps. i did installed it in different folder and could try tonight to install XGM in the EB folder and see if it works. that is if you can wait several hours and don't get better advice
Thanks for quick answer. No, I don't talk about to install them both into same mod-folder, want to have them in seperate ones. Have EB 0.8 already installed and I tried to install xgm to different directory and copying xgm mod-folder into RTW directory thereafter to avoid it having altered vanilla files during install (if it does). Didn't work, as I got error message when tried to start xgm. Thought to better ask before trying direct install now.
So XGM installer doesn't make changes to vanilla RTW beside XGM mod-folder? Will give it a try then *crossing fingers*...Zarax:
Just use both installers, they work fine with each other other than for the loading bar (which looks good imho)...
Don't think so, as long as you load mod-folders separately (either -mod:eb or -mod:xgm).Kara Kolyo:
but than does it take to so much time to load XGM as it's with EB?
And if I had XGM installed to RTW 1.5, could I add E.B. after the XGM (to its own EB folder of course)?
Yes, XGM doesn't overwrite any of the original files, it uses it's own mod folder, unlike EB which replaces some of the files.

Urg, i wish more mods would follow XGM's example and work in its own folder, makes testing and experimenting SOOO much easier.

EB acctually has it's own mod folder, but it still needed to overwrite some vanilla files... imagine my surprise when all of the sudden I had different city models on the xgm strat map... my first thought was: "... magic?.."![]()

Magic? my first instinct would be to blame EA.... If they can make their games unplayable, then y not make others as well? lol.
Also, are not the EB campaign models superior to vanilla, generally of course, based on personal preference? my argument went out the window just now...

No, it's the new city models you were talking a few weeks ago, - they were implemented in EB patch...
