Realistic Battles Mod

Hi,

Does any-one know if there is mod which makes the battles faster and more realistic?

Ive played all the total war series and I'm starting to find the battles tedious.
When the armies are strugling it out it takes ages for even peasants to die.

Totaly unrealistic if you ask me, one hit from a arrow or a hit from a sword should be lethal.
You see them hacking away at eachother but they dont do a lot of damage.

I dont want to speed it up because then it looks stupid.

You forget that this isn't hollywood.. People can raise there shields against arrows (although animations aren't there), some armor is pretty tough (chainmail especially) and people have the common sence to dodge blows. Casualties in ancient and medieval warfare were relatively light to the winner in most cases.

In fact it is unrealistic. A fully armoured horse should not be able to run that fast especially carrying a fully armoured man.

Must admit that perhaps the thread starter shouldn't lock the troops against theenemy. Instead use tactics to speed up the victory! Search the forum for tactics. formations etc. I'm certain you'll find it very helpful

I get your point

Im still in the begining of the campaign and when I attack the first village with my spearman against the peasants it takes ages of skirmishing in the narrow roads.

Peasant dont have armor so they cant hold out that long.
Not that im saying they can but 1 stab from spear should kill them.

It should be a quick massacre irl.
