Could it be overheating your computer? If you have a closed room with a high temperature that could be it. In that case, open your computer case for better cooling. If that wonīt work try out if it crashes even if you donīt play or watch. Also your comp specs would be helpful![]()

When it does less demanding operations it does no crash even if you leave it alone for 5 hours. My comp specs are:
XP home edition
3.6 GHz proccesoer
1GB ram
160 GB hard drive
Gigabyte RADEON 9200 SE Series
BTW this problem has arisen lately before i could play any game for hours.

Okay, try opening your case and cool your room down. If that helps, good, if not, bad. If that not helpīs you should install new drivers, make free some disk space. If that wonīt work your graphics card is maybe damaged and that would be baaad.

Does cooling down temperature works? Try installing new drivers first. If you donīt have too much important stuff on your HD you could reinstall Windows. But keep it as last option.

I think I know what the problem is and it effects everyone. You don't need to reinstall windows.
From the description of the fault you have given me there's a very good chance that the problem you have is dust build up. Without looking inside your case Im guessing that if I peered at you fans and heatsinks they are covered in dust where you intake fan has sucked in air over time and dust has settled on the fans and heatsink. What makes dust deadly is that it gets inside the fans and slows them down, so when your computer is playing a highly demanding 3D game the hardware is having got work harder and gets hotter, in a new pc what would is the fans would spin faster to compensate but in yours dust is preventing that from happing because airflow is restricted.
Get yourself a decent can of air cleaner and blow the dust to hell, this should sort you out.
