Do U think Rome is better than ME2

I certainly do, but I cant quite place why. RTR is far superior to anything ME2 has to offer, and the graphics are not even that inferior, except the campaighn map looks alot better in ME 2. The only thing that ME 2 has thats better than Rome is it's improved Diplomacy interface, and with some of the mods available, superior campiaghn map Ai. Nyways if you guys think Rome is better or worse tell me why or why not.

Without a doubt. So much better - especially cavalry charges. I like it simpler, less realistic tbh. Medieval tries too hard.

No contest - RTR wipes the floor with ME2 as its a real porker - crap and frankly I dont see any superior graphics bar the different shields.

RTW has more diverse factions, BI and MED2 are like east vs. west, they are boring...

Nope. I consider that MTW2 is better than Rome. I played every TW from Shogun and Med2 just gives me a better feeling than Rome. You don´t have to agree with me, but I think Medieval 2 is better. Especially with the mods.

Thats why I play Rome now, its simply the better choice atm.

In Medieval 2, the Cavalry is too strong, the AI too stupid, and there are too many Horse-Archers. Thats, why I am playing Rome.

It does seem like there are multitudes of problems in MED2. The pathfinding in cities is horrendus, It's definetly a serious downgrade from Rome ( Although the cities in Me2 are also more complex). But wow, I just reloaded Rome and got RTR two nights ago and I've been hooked. It has to be one of the best games I have ever played. I just think the overall setting of Rome is better. Imo the time of the rise of Rome is far more interesting than Medieval times.

Animations for RTW are far worser than for MTW2. See the realistic animations of cavalrymen.
RTW cavalrymen sit on horses like stones...Vannila RTW is very unhistorical, but campaign map is better than MTW2.
Overall graphic is way beter for MTW2 (no suprise) but the gameplay is not really.

ME2 isnt exactly the most historically acurate either, I mean where is Aragon? They were major players in the Iberian penninsula and the mediteranian, so why are they represented by rebels. The animations in rome are bad, but atleast there are no broken ones like medievals 2 hander. Hopefully the people who made RTR will make Medieval Total Realism, cuase that may be the mod Ive been waiting for to bring me back to Medieval.

I think id get fired from my job for missing too much work if they did a Medieval 2 Total Realism. There were things i liked in both MTW2 and RTW, each has their own advantage and disadvantage. I still havent gotten so bored with MTW2 to go back to Rome yet tho. Im not saying its better, but i waited for a long time for MTW2 to come out, im going to ride it out lol

rome is better it has a more immersive gameplay the animations in rome are older but they are not broken like in mtw2 i would like to see rtw with mtw2 graphics that would be a blast

When i began to play MTWII it was refreshing but it soon turned into pure boredom...like stated by other members the cavalry is too strong and the gameplay is somewhat troublesome. I could say that the graphics are a must in this game but it lacks various things....Rome otherwise i installed yesterday again e was completely hooked again..(i´d prefer the basic surroundings) and the fabulous cavalry charge! So my vote goes to RTW!

I like Medieval more than I like Rome. But that's probably because I was young when i first played RTW and always screwed up and played it for only 2 months. Then, when M2TW was released, I was already a 14 year old thinkshimselfaphilosofer and kicked ass of every thing that got in my way and I'm an excelent economist. I usually am democratic in M2TW, but I'm going to try a fascist Empire now. I'm making a copy of the Nazi Reich. Oh, and i prefer the Medieval Ages rather than Rome.

For now . . . . . . . I would have to say Rome. I bought MTWII on the day it was released and i felt very let down. I got a 3.2ghz 2gb ram 7800gtx so i could run it adequately enough. After playing Rome for so long it felt really rough around the edges. Plus, i like the Roman period better (particularly the late roman period when everything starts falling apart LOL).

I know its blasphemy, but i still havent completed the vanilla RTW campaign (halfway through as we speak) and playing as the WRE in BI is such an amazing challenge, i have plenty to keep me going.

I'm hoping more patches will sort out MTWII.

Medieval 2's graphics own and there's very good detail on the campaign map unlike Rome it's too easy play. Medieval 2's difficulty is quite challenging which makes it very fun.

welll rome i played non step for many months even before i tried mods etc etc medieval 2? i played an english campaign finished in november and i havent touched it since so.....
