I recently just got into this sub-genre due to the Dropkick Murphys' song Shipping Up To Boston. You may recognize from the recent crime thriller The Departed.

Anyways, so far besides Dropkick Murphys I've also gotten into The Pogues and Flogging Molly. It's practically all I listen to nowadays.

    Any other fans here?

Pogues are supremely excellent. Best in the genre. I don't know how many times I've played 'Thousands are Sailing', 'Irish Rover' and 'The Body of an American'. Possibly my favourite band.

Dropkick Murphies are OKAY. I enjoy 'Shipping up to Boston' and a couple of others, but they have nothing on the Pogues.

Horslips are excellent too, Dearg Doom is one of the most addictive songs ever written.

In 3 months, I have become incredibly interested in Gaelic Rock to the point of owning every Dropkick/Flogging Molly album and currently procuring Pogues.
    Favorite Albums:
Dropkick: Do or Die, Sing Loud Sing Proud
    Flogging Molly: Swagger
Pogues: If I Should Fall From Grace with God.
    Anyone else?

From Dropkick Murphys, I like Heroes of Our Past.
From Flogging Molly, I love Swagger, Devil's Dance Floor, and Jig of Death.

I don't know much about the Pogues, though.

For any of you that have doubts about DKM. Listen to The Fields of Athenry. It'll turn you into an instant fan.

Horslips! Gotta love em. Dropkick Murphies and Flogging Molly are both good too. So is Eire Og, and perhaps the Wolfe Tones (although they aren't specifically rock, more traditional).

Here is Shipping up to Boston in a good Irish format.

While support of the IRA is morally debatable, I'm Shipping off to Boston is a great song. Not to get too of topic, but I always found it Ironic that the IRA uses the Republic of Ireland flag with the orange still on it.
