Default this mod, will it be improved on current rtw engine?

Hi alls, first of all, my apologies, i remember in a thread on another forum (it was called somethink like "what other mod do you like?", i sayd i didn't like this mod cause i cant stand the ultracoloured skins. Really hope i have not influenced nobody with my too hurry criticism, i had recently a campaign with Western Roman Empire, and i must say i really had a good time, it was very funny, and after a while i begun to stand even the shiny-coloured attila skins and the unit-cards, so i appreciated his work after a while.
Now i can call myself as a fans of your mod too, and i think that IB is a very-nice complement to EB on the BI side. Before i thought vanilla BI experience was unsurpassed by no-mod (im talking of WRE). But now i have to say that i had a great experience.

    now some questions:

will there be a new improved version for rtw-bi? or the team is moved to m2tw?

i say this cause even if the campaign i had was really enjoyable, i noticed there is still a lot of space to improve.
-for example invading Britain with my WRE, i noticed that i can still recruit Graal Knight (!?!)
-there are still CTDs, but they were never definitive, i alwasys was able to bypass them turning back of a pair of turns.
-noticed that some unit card dont are the same of the on-battle units (pedites-buccellari unit-cards are different than the on battle unit)
-Conquering back the historical WRE towns, i can understand i can train legionaries, but it is strange when i conquer some province out of the historical borders of the WRE, i say it could be nice to have a sort of slow-assimilation buildings
-The barbarians were never a threat for me, my only and dangerous enemy was always the ERE. This could be fixed. Cause in a BI mod i expect to have some epic fight with barbarians, and to be allied with ERE for all the game.
-The only "Orde" that menaced me was the starting Visigote Orde in Italy, after i defeated them i never was menaced by a different horde. Yes i encountered other "ordes" but they were so weak that i defeat them with a small army and with no problem.
    - In vanilla BI i often had some great generals with full chevroned armies to pass to the enemy side cause fidelity iussue. Here i never lost a general, but in vanilla BI it was a part of the fun.

Despite this problems, i had a great experience as i sayd, far superior to vanilla BI. And im asking myself how it could be greater if this mod will be further improved.

Sincerely hope that you are still working on it, and if there will come out a new version, i cant wait to have my hand on it.

    salut!

PS: i know my feedback could seem a bit "out of time", cause there is a general feel like everyone (except EB) is moving away to the m2tw platform. Anyway i had the need to say that, and as i sayd i really hope i could be able to have my hands to a new fixed version of this mod on BI platform.

you're right about the "coloured skins". however, in future, who knows, maybe in a IBFD2 on the medtw2 engine, we could have "dirty mud" skins. but, by now, we're still working on rtw-bi 1.6. however, take a look on the new romans made by razor: they have similar kind of skins, but much more accurate and with great models... looks at the rivets on helmets, for instance, and you will understand.

    - for the graal knights, i think is should be a text error.... they should be sarmatian auxilia or some equites.
    - good that you bypass the crashes
    - ui cards have to be fixed - they sometimes refer to old skins and so
    - slow-assimilation building are under construction. unfortunately they were almost done this summer, but a crash on my pc erased ALL the work of a couple of months. the project started with the ides to create a sort of "romano-barbarian" UI look for the barbarian buildings created in roman territory. romans, on the other hand, had just a "colony", a first building that was necessary to create all the other. it was a rough work now gone, but it will be redone if i will have time.
-if you expect to be allied with ERE all the game, we will provide you a script of continuous alliance ERE-WRE... however, did you know what west romans says about alaricus? that the byzantines actually payed him to ravage italy after he ravaged greece. so...
    - the "loyalty" is a particular issue. it could be done linking a faction to another, and, as i've discovered, also more that one faction. well, i was thinking of create a "generic roman rebel", and link them both ere and wre. they had loyalty as result. HOWEVER, once a wre carthago rebelled, it turned roman rebel; but the low-loyalty general turned again rebel and carthago becomes a ERE territory (even if in the internal builds was "build by empire_west"). thus resoulted in a great confusion of rebellion, provinces and so, where in practice all roman provinces where subject to rapid changes of owners in a funny way.

    p.s.: we're working on a 6.1 version. stay tuned.

thanks a lot for the replay, i discovered this mod very late, i installed it time ago, but I understood its potential only now as i sayd. So it's very nice there will be still improvement activity around the current version.
for the CTDs, i was able to complete my campaign, and i have further expanded even in britain and in the East
Regarding the ERE, i admit a good part of the fun was to fight against their uber Comitatense Armato, and to try to still unificate the empire under a single Kaesar. (i think the ERE is now a small state somewhere in anatolia, fighting the sassanids)

So im in the list of people eagerly waiting to play the new 6.1 version.

PS: hope you can find a way to have back that assimilation system
PPS: even without that loyalty think, it's a great mod anyway
