Now really...do any of you think it will change something who the president is ? American political system is the problem itself. You didn't do anything to reform it since more than 100 years. USA is the only country that still relies on a political system, which basically is the same as it was in 19'th century.

again, I think the claim that Obama will be the next and last president is something that deserves an explanation. Otherwise what is the point of making such claims?

To be honest the US and the world aren't that damaged. The world certainly does not like Bush, but nothing has been done that will damage relations irreconcilably.

And if so that is just how the world is now, the world is getting tired of America being the world power. In their roles as president there have been many who have done worse than Bush. Not to say Bush is a good president by any means, but what he has done pails in comparison to others. Andrew Jackson basically told the Supreme Court to shove it. I can't image the reaction if Bush was to do the same today.

He is a muslim. Every american will see voting for Obama as a way of appeasing Islamic extremism, and thus he'll get elected.

I personally suspect that his election, will lead to civil war in the US, when his idealistic leftist approach clashes with rightist principles and culture, during a period of world conflicts, terrorism, depleted resources, economic recession and natural catastrophes.

Our evaluations differ with regard to the damage dealt. I see the US on the brink of collapse, both in terms of political support worldwide, and economics. Their armed forces are needlessly scattered and under threat of possible iranian nukes, and finally, the world is on the verge of political chaos.

True, but neither did any of the previous presidents cause real permanent damage to America or the world. (although Kennedy came very close at one point).

W. did cause serious problems in the Middle East and he'll leave America with a huge national debt.

Problem here being, I'm not a conservative at all. Politically I'm very, very slightly to the right, and a bit more oriented towards personal freedom. As my political compass rather aptly confirmed. :wink:

You say every American will see that as appeasing Muslims. Only leftist Americans might see that in that way, but most won't and most will not vote for Obama. Even blacks are starting to turn away from him for not being "black". Its going to be Hillary as the democratic candidate and she will lose in a landslide unless the Republicans have a moderate as their candidate.

Again thats not the dynamics of America. We don't have a huge Muslim population. Maybe Europe does that but definitely not America in general.
