George W. Bush: Great President or the Greatest President?

It seems this all-important question has never been asked of TWC. Naturally, it must be asked. It seems that this question has become inextricably tied with another crucial question, whether the Iraq war is indeed simply a great war or, in fact, the greatest war. So, perhaps you should consider that in answering, as well.

My personal opinion is that George Bush is not quite the greatest; that title belongs to Reagan for now. When I say Bush isn't the greatest, I mean he isn't the greatest yet; he still has some time to build on his already successful programs and policies; he could still become the greatest President. Only time will tell!

Anyway, yeah, I'm borrowing it from Stephen, who is one of my heroes (and a true hero of the conservative movement). It's good that we have people like him to ask public figures these important questions, but that doesn't mean our opinions of George Bush's greatness aren't important too!

He's no Rutherford B. Hayes or Benjamin Harrison, but, honestly, who is?

As for the greatest? I'd give that honor to Grover Cleveland. Not only did he lead the United States to victory in the Mexican-American War, he looked good while doing it. Also, fathering a bastard son didn't stop him from winning two consecutive elections.

Colbert asked the same question to several Democrat congressmen on his show "The Colbert report".
Democrats obviously don't want to pick either of the answers, so they'll avoid the question or protest.
After a while Colbert puts them down for "great president".
