    Installation Instructions:

Double-click on the fe_patch_1_7.exe that you just downloaded, and make sure that you have it pointed to your Rome directory where you installed FE v1.5 (this is normally C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War, or - if you have Gold - C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War). After the initial extraction is finished a dos window should open briefly to finish the installation. You can now click on the FE shortcut on your desktop, and continue to play!

ZOMG!! Right when I was going to get to sleep... Ehm... I'm out of words since you released CI, so no more praising. I've already lost quite a lot of nights with FATW, going to lose many more, and my 1 week holiday is over soon.

Ah well, you are very diligent.

After the initial extraction is finished a dos window should open briefly to finish the installation. You can now click on the FE shortcut on your desktop, and continue to play!
Installation: I just executed to a neutral folder (to look at the files), and then i have overwritten the 1.6 data folder with the patch 1.7 data folder. So far not the problem.

My question is: What does the bat file for the finishing (bold) of the installation?

    It just deletes map.rwm.

Deletion of map.rwm. But perhaps you could just run the exe once more?

    EDIT: Damn!

    Ah ok.

But you can provide it easier: Just put in an empty map.rwm (0 bite) file and everything is okay. It overwrites the former one, without that the user has to bother with that thing.

Yes, you are right DaVinci though it's good for downloaders to get use to it for when we have to remove things

I will do it the simpler way if we need no bat file in the next patch.

BTW, I always install files to a temp folder too when I download mods - I like to see what they are and see what is being done

Great news, and just in time, too. I just finished my Dunlending Campaign, so I don´t have to worry about aborting one.

I love the orcs, by the way, they´re great, even though perhaps better named "goblins", since the´re so small. But I love them still, snaga archers have played a vital role in both Rohans and Gondors defeat - as a bait for the other´s archers

By the way, does the patch fix the fact that when you should get a Rohan Traitor, you get a Dunland Traitor? Or didn´t anyone mention that issue? The Gondor traitor works fine, by the way.

Yes, it should fix the traitor problem.

The Orcs are somewhat small as they are the lesser of the least, but we won't be calling them goblins

You've done well to beat Rohan and RK playing as Dunland!
